Lilith winked seductively at the trembling nurse, huddling in the corner of the storeroom with a gas mask on.
She could sense a trace of fear in Cecilim’s heart, mingled with a hint of jealousy…
Was it because she’d been getting handsy with those nuns?
Even so, Sissilim’s body was slowly inching closer to her, probably thinking Lilith could take her away after so easily defeating the nuns.
Wink! Wink!
Lilith frantically blinked, warning Sissilim not to make any affectionate moves at a time like this.
Unlike her, Sissilim was just an ordinary girl, as plain as could be.
Following her now would mean being hunted by the Church.
Lilith didn’t want to ruin this sweet, obedient girl’s life.
A vagabond’s life was no picnic.
Sissilim seemed to catch the meaning in Lilith’s eyes, her body halting with some difficulty.
Hehe, not bad for a girl who’d practiced judo techniques with her for a while.
They had a bit of chemistry, didn’t they?
“Don’t worry, once the heat dies down, we’ll go on a carefree trip,” Lilith promised.
Her smile bloomed like a flower as she made a heart shape with her hands toward Sissilim.
She hoped her charm could soothe the unease in Sissilim’s heart.
Ignoring the nuns still being tormented by tentacles and slimes behind her, Lilith skipped out of the storeroom.
In a daze, she caught sight of a blurry figure in the corridor.
“Oh, looks like we missed a little nun.”
Lilith’s eyes narrowed as she closely examined the ethereal, gray-haired girl before her, whose presence felt faint.
Those eerie purple pupils couldn’t be fully concealed by the gas mask’s lenses, staring at her as if threatening to drag her into a chaotic, dreamlike abyss.
“A Nightmare? Your Tribunal really has every kind of half-human, half-monster, huh?”
To think they’d even found such a rare hybrid.
No wonder she hadn’t noticed anyone approaching earlier; this Nightmare must have masked the nuns’ presence.
Her invincible vampire life had made her far too careless…
But this little Nightmare was clearly in bad shape.
Her hazy, beautiful face was streaked with blood, seeping from all seven orifices.
Her body flickered between the realms of illusion and reality, as if lost at the edge of the dreamscape she once freely navigated.
“Stop staring.”
Lilith chuckled, lightly tapping the Nightmare nun’s forehead, instantly pulling the girl back from the brink of mental collapse.
“What did you see in my memories, little one?”
“Some things, even if you can see them, shouldn’t be probed too deeply… or dying without a grave would be the least of your worries.”
“Have a sweet dream.”
In her crimson eyes, a vortex seemed to swirl, enveloping the purple pupils locked onto her.
The Nightmare sank into the tranquil sea of dreams.
Lilith knew a bit about everything, including magic that mimicked the effects of a hypnosis app.
She didn’t dare imagine what her centuries-long memories must look like through the eyes of that little Nightmare—twisted, terrifying, and utterly bizarre.
She could only hope the girl, nearly corrupted by her mind, wouldn’t end up with some kind of trauma when she recovered.
As expected, cute girls really shouldn’t get mixed up in all this fighting and killing.
Even after all these years, this world was still hopelessly broken.
Lilith sighed inwardly, confirming no one would die from severe injuries because of her, before transforming into a gust of black wind and heading toward the hospital’s main entrance.
The sun struggled to climb above the horizon, a soft glow already spreading across the sky.
Soon, the blazing sun would rise high, banishing the darkness and forcing the monsters that thrived in it back to the hidden world.
Day after day, dawn arrived, symbolizing the unyielding hope of all living beings.
Lilith stood blankly in front of the hospital’s entrance, staring at the clergy and fully armed city defense forces that had sealed off the streets for miles around.
Above the city, a massive barrier inscribed with golden runes hummed at full power, ready to unleash a roar of destruction at any moment.
On the distant city walls, a gigantic magic cannon was aimed directly at her.
She could distinctly sense several overwhelmingly powerful presences in the crowd.
Lilith fell silent…
Damn it! What kind of atrocities had that vampire, who’d framed her, committed?
Had she drained half the nobles in the kingdom dry? Or gone and assassinated the freaking king?
Being someone’s scapegoat felt awful.
Lilith was so furious she thought she might develop dementia.
How was she supposed to explain this?
Walk up, wave hello, and say she wasn’t the murderous vampire?
“Hey, I didn’t kill those little nuns you sent down there; I just teased them a bit. Can you let me go because I’m so cute?”
The answer was obviously no.
Lilith pondered.
Breaking out wouldn’t be too hard.
But if she didn’t hold back… these idiots, who’d mistaken her for the culprit, would suffer heavy casualties.
Hiding in the city? With this many pursuers, even she wouldn’t have much of a chance…
Flee the city?
No way.
Once outside, that city defense magic cannon would blast her into Lilith paste…
Reforming her body would be too much hassle…
But with their relentless attitude, even if she escaped, they’d keep hunting her down.
In the city, they’d hesitate to act freely, fearing collateral damage to innocents.
The magic cannon definitely wouldn’t fire recklessly within city limits.
They’d trapped her at the hospital entrance, worried she’d go berserk and attack the patients inside.
And they were waiting for the sun to rise and burn her to ash.
Heh…
She was screwed…
Lilith scratched her head in frustration, finally making a decision.
Killing them all didn’t suit her style.
She just wanted to be a lazy vampire, napping in the arms of cute girls every day.
She wasn’t like that Tang dynasty young master, always seeking some dramatic path to death.
So the answer was clear.
Lilith decided to surrender.
These guys couldn’t kill her anyway.
Once they captured her and realized the vampire incidents in the city hadn’t stopped, they’d know they got the wrong person.
Then, when the guards around her thinned out, escaping wouldn’t be an issue.
But which faction should she let capture her?
Lilith scanned the forces surrounding her.
Her gaze finally settled on the group of armed nuns.
Well then…
There was only one answer!
“Sister nuns! Here I come!”
In the end, under everyone’s shocked stares, Lilith stood bathed in the morning sunlight, striking an invincible pose.
This vampire wasn’t afraid of the sun!
What kind of terrifying ultimate creature was this?!
Lilith charged toward the nuns, who raised their weapons in panic as the magic cannon’s roar erupted on the open ground in front of the hospital.
“Good morning, Makabaka.”
The vampire princess closed her eyes.
It was her nap time now.
Surrender because its the most lazy options
