Chapter 61: The Spoils of the First Victor

“I actually debated for a long time whether I should make the Part 4 video or not. Because, honestly, I don’t have an editor yet, or even a company. Uploading such good content raw, without any editing, just looks kinda... unprofessional, right?”

If it was about broadcasting, Revan had watched plenty.

So, so-called ‘streamer vibes’ were something Revan definitely possessed.

On top of that, thinking he was speaking alone with no viewers made him feel neither burdened nor embarrassed.

That’s why, as if monologuing comfortably, Revan continued his commentary without pressure.

“But well, for now, I decided to just record it anyway. If I happen to get a company before the Part 4 video goes up, I guess they’ll edit out what I just said, right? If not, oh well. Not like you’d refuse to watch just because there’s no editing, right?”

At this, he put on a brazen expression and laughed.

It was a joke.

“So, let’s get started with the actual review of the first floor clear rewards.”

Getting things started off on the right foot is always important.

Revan never intended to be overly humble as a streamer.

Of course, he’d keep to the minimum level of modesty, but anything overdone turns into poison, so he would only be modest in moderation.

‘If I act too much like a goody-two-shoes, the stream itself becomes boring.’

Revan decided to first reveal the achievements he obtained as rewards.

“Check unidentified achievements.”

[Master Orc Defeated Solo]
-Condition: Earned by solo-killing the boss monster, Master Orc.
-Option: Current highest stat +5.

[Master Orc Slayer]
-Condition: Earned by defeating Master Orc.
-Option: Current highest stat +10.

[First Victor]
-Condition: Earned by being the first to defeat the floor master in the Tower of Infinity.
-Option: In battle within the Tower of Infinity, all stats +20%. Current highest stat +5.

[Bane of the Orcs]
-Condition: Earned by clearing the first floor of the Tower of Infinity.
-Option: High chance to gain initiative against orc-type monsters. Attack Power +20%, Defense +20%.

A total of four achievements gained by defeating the first floor master, Master Orc.

The bonus stats alone totaled fifteen.

Revan spoke in a tone of amazement.

“Wow! Four achievements, can you believe how generous this is? But it’s kind of weird. The rewards are this good, so why don’t more people clear the first floor?”

A comment that would have blown up the chat if it were a live stream. Too bad this was a recording.

After checking the achievements, Revan pulled out the Infinite Box.

“Alright, that’s it for achievements. Next, let’s open the Infinite Box, the reward given by the Tower.”

The box he received as a reward was called the Infinite Box.

As Revan went to open the box, it asked him a question.

[Would you like to open the Infinite Box?]

“Of course, let’s go.”

[You have acquired the Condensed Elixir of Experience.]
[You have acquired the Floor 2 Ticket.]
[You have acquired the Gold Badge.]
[You have acquired the Master Orc’s Fist.]
[You have acquired the Master Orc’s Hide.]

Instead of a reply, the rewards poured out in a stream.

But it was a little different from what he’d seen in Cheonak’s interview.

Revan laid the items he obtained out on the table and spoke.

“So, that’s five rewards in total. But it’s a little different from what Cheonak mentioned in his interview back in the day, isn’t it?”

The rewards Cheonak revealed in his interview were the Experience Elixir and a badge, more or less.

But the badge Cheonak got was silver. Revan’s was gold.

“Well, anyway, let’s check the options in order. Starting with the Experience Elixir.”

-Restriction: Revan Only.
-Option: A special privilege granted only to rankers recognized by the Tower. Grants the legitimate experience points from the enemies defeated on the first floor.

‘As I thought.’

After confirming the elixir’s options, Revan grinned, cheeks twitching with a broad smile.

And for good reason—despite being the first to clear the first floor, Revan hadn’t leveled up even once.

Only those acknowledged as top ten rankers by the Tower were able to receive experience from the Tower of Infinity.

‘If any random person could get experience, everyone would just farm in the Tower forever.’

The Tower of Infinity produced endless monsters and could be challenged repeatedly.

And since there were no entrance fees or costs, if the Tower gave experience for hunting monsters, it would be a land of milk and honey for players.

That’s probably why the developers put these restrictions in place to prevent balance issues.

Revan shook the Experience Elixir and spoke.

“You see this, right? It says ‘Revan Only’ in the restrictions. Apparently, not just anyone can drink this. So let’s show some gratitude to the Tower and itadakimasu!”

Pop!

The elixir cap came off with a lively sound. Without hesitation, Revan tossed the elixir into his mouth.

There was no special taste.

Just bland water, really.

But despite the unremarkable flavor...

The system notifications rang out wildly, to the point that his ears tingled.

“...Wahaha.”

Level up alerts pouring in.

Honestly, he was stunned.

He let out a hollow laugh.

‘How much did I just go up?’

He had expected to gain a lot.

After all, it was the result of nine grueling hours of grinding.

So, out of habit, Revan went to open his status window.

‘Ah, that was close.’

He quickly changed the camera to third-person view.

If he switched to third-person, subscribers couldn’t see Revan’s status window.

‘No way I’m showing my precious status screen for free. Every piece of info is now its own content.’

Only after switching camera angles did Revan open his status window.

And then he was shocked.

“Uh, what?”

His level had increased.

A ton.

So much that—

“Guys... is this for real? My level just went up by nine at once.”

A full nine levels, all at once.

A number almost hard to believe, even when seeing it directly.

At that moment, a thought flashed through Revan’s mind like lightning.

‘Ah, I should’ve drunk an Experience Doubler Potion!’

If he’d done that, his level would have gone up even more.

But it was too late for regrets.

He’d already used the elixir.

Though Revan’s heart ached, he forced himself to act cheerful.

“...I’m honestly thrilled. Who would’ve thought I’d gain nine levels at once. Shows you—hard work pays off, right?”

He felt bitter inside, but had to act happy, so his face wore a slightly unnatural expression.

After putting all his bonus stats into Strength, Revan moved on to check the info for the next item, the Floor 2 Ticket.

“Next up is the Floor 2 Ticket.”

[Floor 2 Ticket]
-Rank: Unique, Bound.
-Restriction: Revan Only.
-Option: Using the ticket allows you to meet the floor master of the Tower of Infinity’s second floor immediately, regardless of any conditions.

“Oh?”

Floor 2 Ticket.

He could more or less guess the options from the name. But to actually get to meet the second floor’s master directly?

‘As far as I know, most floors only spawn their bosses after about nine hours... Does this mean I can fight the boss right away, no waiting?’

A clear privilege.

No matter how much the Tower offered time-rewind perks, enduring nine hours of continuous hunting was rough for any player.

“This is great. It lets me meet the second floor boss directly. Looks like this is a perk only for me, having cleared the first floor. Means more content for me! I’ll save this for when I need it. Now, let’s check the rest of the items all at once.”

-Option: High-quality Master Orc leather with exceptional defense and resistance. The quantity is substantial, but if handled by someone lacking materials knowledge, the hide is likely to be damaged.

“Wow! Legendary!”

Checking the Gold Badge’s options, Revan was momentarily surprised. The badge’s rank was Legendary.

But then his expression turned uncertain. Because, while the item was Legendary, it had no special options at all.

‘Is this just a commemorative keepsake?’

A little disappointing.

A gold badge shaped like a sideways figure eight—the symbol for infinity—was little more than a souvenir.

Still, he didn’t think it was bad.

Because the Gold Badge was Revan-only, something no one else could ever have.

‘Just wearing it is enough to look cool.’

After some thought, Revan pinned the badge to the chest of his long-sleeve shirt.

“Now I really look like a member of parliament. A Legendary item with no options—what a piece of junk. Is this what they call ‘pretty trash’?”

That was it for the Gold Badge review.

Next, Master Orc’s Fist.

Unlike the Master Orc’s hide, this was a pitch-black leather glove, and, befitting a boss drop, it was also a Boss Unique grade item.

What made it special was that, despite being just a leather glove, it had massive physical defense and a built-in skill called ‘Grip.’

“Grip. Sort of a holding move, huh? Could be really useful. Only...”

To his surprise, Master Orc’s Fist was tradable.

The catch was that only someone with the ‘Master Orc Slayer’ achievement could equip it.

Revan inspected the glove from every angle and said,

“The equip requirement is a killer. No one but me can use this. Unless someone else manages to defeat the Master Orc.”

He smirked and put on the glove. But the fit was even better than he’d expected.

Which made him gush all over again.

“Wow, I figured a leather glove would feel clunky, but the fit is so good I barely even notice I’m wearing it. If you want to know what it feels like, just go beat the Master Orc yourself. Then I’ll gladly lend it to you!”

Deceit upon deceit.

And yet, deceit never gets old.

Revan continued with a review of the Master Orc’s Hide, asking his viewers,

“Great hide. There’s enough here for a whole set of leather armor. But it requires Advanced Materials Science, so if any of you subscribers are good with leatherworking, leave a comment. If you’re up for it, I’ll commission you directly.”

Leather as white as snow.

Who would think this came from an orc?

Review finished, Revan waved both hands in farewell.
