‘How could I have that kind of thought?’
Shiya quickly waved her hands in denial, but then, as if realizing something, she rose with interest and leaned in close to the young lady.
“Shiya’s little classmate, huh.”
Shiya deliberately raised her tone.
“I am Little Shiya’s mother, you know. As your elder, what should you call me?”
Little Leonora, who had been angry just a moment ago, froze, staring blankly at the woman before her.
Suddenly, Shiya put on a stern face and snorted.
“You big idiot.”
She blurted out.
“It’s okay, I don’t mind being friends with a rude, impolite little brat.”
“But as Shiya’s mother, I naturally won’t let her…”
The tiny young lady grew impatient, her speech speeding up.
“Then… then I’ll call you Auntie.”
Unfortunately, upon hearing that, the young woman’s face instantly darkened, and she tapped Little Leonora’s head.
“I’m not that old. Pick another one.”
The young lady was dazed from the tap.
Shouldn’t Shiya’s mother be called Auntie?
But pressured by the woman’s inexplicable tantrum, she reluctantly changed to another address.
“Shiya’s Mom.”
At that, the young woman’s heart felt filled with a sudden palpitation, and her brows unconsciously relaxed.
Some soft spot in her heart seemed touched.
‘Hehe, when did I ever notice the young lady was this cute?’
So she crouched down and hugged Little Leonora, letting the girl’s head keep shrinking back, but she kept pushing forward, rubbing against her.
Like a lark and a phoenix truly playing and frolicking together.
“Hurry up and eat. Stop playing with me!”
Shiya tilted her head in dissatisfaction, but still took small bites of the bread.
In the end, it was Little Phoenix who shyly grabbed a piece of bread from the bag and stuffed it into Shiya’s mouth.
Little Leonora, who was holding the other end of the bread, could clearly feel the tremor from the woman’s lips and teeth as they closed.
Her earlobes began to turn red.
Until the young woman accidentally ate the last corner of the bread, which also seemed to drop a kiss on her fingertips.
Little Leonora finally snapped out of it, quickly pulling her hand away.
She swallowed lightly, then picked up another piece of bread and handed it to Shiya.
Shiya opened her mouth to speak, but the girl deftly blocked it with the bread.
Furthermore, the young lady’s innate mischievousness erupted at that moment.
She gently pushed the bread into Shiya’s throat.
Shiya whimpered, tears of reflex streaming down, her face flushing red.
Her shimmering, lively eyes looked innocently at the young lady.
Little Leonora pretended not to notice, grabbing the end of the bread and tickling the woman’s throat.
Shiya’s body trembled.
She placed both hands on the small shoulders, her eyes misty.
This feeding went on for a long time until Shiya could no longer hold back and pushed Little Leonora away.
Her breath was ragged.
She pointed at the nearly empty two-person portion of food.
“Why aren’t you eating at all?”
Shiya had wanted to ask earlier, but Little Leonora had kept stuffing food into her mouth, not giving her a chance to speak.
Little Leonora let out a sulky hum and turned her face away.
“You worked all day today. I, of course, am considerate and feed you the bread.”
“You’re already thin and need nutrition. What if you don’t grow taller?”
Shiya immediately put on a stern face.
“Then how can you not eat? You little…”
Although the young lady had been magically shrunk and her body was still in its eighteen-year-old state, Shiya scolded her using the habitual tone of an older sister lecturing a younger one.
These words were undoubtedly caring, but they made Little Leonora bristle.
Without a word, she grabbed a piece of bread, intending to repeat the trick and stuff the woman’s mouth.
But this time, Shiya was quicker.
She snatched the bread from the young lady’s hand, yanking it away with a toss of her head.
Then she turned the tables, leaning down and pressing the bread against the young lady’s lips.
Both of her hands were already dirty, so this was the only way to force the young lady to eat.
Crow feeding its mother.
The thought came to Shiya’s mind.
But the young lady did not see it that way.
Staring at the cherry-colored lips separated only by a slice of bread, her throat bobbed.
Steam rose from her crown, and ripples swirled in her light red eyes.
Reason told the young lady to give in, take the bread from Little Shiya’s Mom’s lips, eat it, and end the standoff.
But instinct won over reason.
She also opened her small mouth and took small bites of the white bread.
Until finally, the distance between them shrank, their faces almost touching.
Shiya immediately lost the battle, letting go of the bread in embarrassment, turning her head away, afraid to meet the young lady’s gaze.
The sweet scent of cold plum lingered at the tip of her nose.
A certain expectation in her heart seemed to be disappointed.
The young lady narrowed her eyes dangerously, chewing on the small wet piece of bread that still held the young woman’s faint warmth.
But she quickly paused in realization, then immediately pretended nothing had happened, tremblingly taking the next piece of bread from the bag, eating bit by bit to fill her stomach.
In fact, she didn’t eat much at all, and there was no need for that woman to worry.
Although they both pulled back in time and didn’t go any further, the image of them being drawn to each other until they finally closed in remained lingering in their minds.
This indescribable silence persisted between them for a long time.
Making it impossible for either to naturally continue the conversation.
Until a slight burp sounded.
Little Leonora wanted to cover her face and find a crack to crawl into.
Shiya let out a “pfft” laugh on the spot, but faced with the young lady’s glare, she pretended to cough twice.
“Well… shouldn’t we rest?”
Little Leonora raised her delicate eyebrow, her tone icy.
“Whatever you want.”
Just as her words fell, her entire small body lifted into the air.
Shiya had actually princess-carried her and laid her horizontally on the bed.
And before leaving, she even thoughtfully covered her with a blanket.
Little Leonora, who had maintained a proud and hardened shell since she could remember, felt herself being gently pried open by something warmer and softer.
“Hurry up and come up.”
She shifted her small body further into the bed, lifted a corner of the blanket, and patted the large empty space beside her.
All these little awkwardnesses were fully observed by the young woman.
She couldn’t help but brush a strand of hair from her cheek and sincerely remarked.
“The young lady is just as always, hard-hearted but soft-spoken from childhood to now…”
But before Little Leonora could scold her for being too sentimental, a sound familiar to the point of chilling suddenly rang out from outside the door.
The harsh scraping of metal knives across the floor.
Sparks scattered from the floorboards hit the door, accompanied by a strong gust of air, causing a violent tremor.
The murderer who had broken into their room last night, the Performance Enforcement Team the female worker had mentioned, had come again tonight.
Shiya’s pupils contracted sharply.
She pulled Little Leonora tightly into her arms.
But today, out of caution, she had blended in inconspicuously and had not slacked off at work.
