Not long after Olivia sent a message to Shirley using her Grimoire, three streaks of light tore through the night sky, speeding toward Tunzuo and Olivia.
Shirley, Lei Ruiya, and Lena landed hurriedly beside the two young witches, their expressions anxious.
As soon as Shirley landed, she was drawn to the chaotic scene on the beach.
Huge ravines with clean, bottomless cuts, sand and stone melted by the high temperature, and the thick magical fluctuations still lingering in the air.
The signs were clearly wrong, causing Shirley to frown deeply.
She quickly walked up to Tunzuo and Olivia, looking seriously at her two students, and asked in a deep voice:
“You two, what exactly happened here? You’d better explain clearly. As your teacher, I have a responsibility to both of you.”
Tunzuo opened her mouth, ready to complain and tell Shirley all about Langel’s misdeeds.
But before Tunzuo could say a word, a warm hand gently grabbed her wrist.
Tunzuo instinctively turned her head and saw Olivia shaking her head at her, a pleading look in her eyes, signaling Tunzuo not to mention Langel’s actions.
Seeing Olivia’s pleading eyes, Tunzuo was silent for a moment, then bowed her head and swallowed the words that were on the tip of her tongue.
Seeing that Tunzuo was silent, Olivia took a deep breath, forced herself to stand and walk in front of the three Witch Academy teachers.
A weak but still elegant and proper smile on her face, she explained to Shirley:
“I’m sorry, Teacher Sherry, for worrying you. It’s my illness acting up. I lost control of my power for a moment and messed up the beach.”
“Illness?”
Olivia’s answer made Shirley’s eyes narrow.
She looked Olivia up and down with suspicion and continued asking:
“The complications from the ‘Sun of Ruin’ haven’t flared up for a long time, have they? Why so sudden this time? And…”
Shirley pointed around at the environment left with many battle scars from magical erosion and questioned:
“Your illness shouldn’t leave these violent battle scars. Can I assume you’re lying, Olivia?”
Facing Shirley’s relentless questioning, Olivia remained expressionless.
She chuckled lightly, her tone feigning ease to cover the truth.
“Not at all, Teacher Sherry. I was just too excited to play and forgot to take my medicine, which caused the seal inside me to loosen, and I couldn’t suppress the rampage of the ‘Sun of Ruin.’”
“As for those battle scars… I was inevitably a bit disoriented from being burned by the golden flames, and Xiao Youling made a bit of a commotion trying to suppress me when I lost control.”
Shirley stared at Olivia’s smile, which, though weak, was perfectly flawless, and fell into a long silence.
Shirley knew that if Olivia didn’t want to talk, she would never get the truth.
To that, Shirley could only shake her head and sigh helplessly.
“In that case, alright. Let’s take you two back to rest. Olivia, make sure to take your medicine on time from now on. I don’t want to see you getting into trouble because of your mischief.”
“Don’t worry, Teacher Sherry. This kind of thing won’t happen again.”
Olivia nodded obediently, looking every bit the model student.
Xiao Qing, the Serperior, slowly crawled out from behind Lei Ruiya and docilely lay down on the beach, letting Tunzuo and Olivia ride on it.
After the two witches were settled and stable, Xiao Qing raised its head with a chirp and carried Tunzuo and Olivia back to the resort.
On the way back, while stroking Xiao Qing’s cool and smooth scales, Tunzuo leaned close to Olivia’s ear and asked in a low voice:
“Hey, pervert dragon, why won’t you let me tell Teacher Sherry about Langel? That lunatic made you suffer so much!”
Olivia leaned on Tunzuo’s shoulder and explained softly:
“Sorry, Xiao Youling. Langel’s matter ultimately falls under the internal power struggles of the Gold Family, and other witches shouldn’t interfere. Mother is quite sensitive about this; she doesn’t want family scandals to be aired out.”
Tunzuo was not convinced by Olivia’s seemingly plausible reason.
She snorted coldly, her tone mixed with displeasure and concern:
“What? Ignoring your own children scheming against and killing each other in the shadows, but caring more about what other witches think? Is that your so-called noble family rules?”
Facing Tunzuo’s overly blunt rebuke, Olivia could only smile awkwardly, unable to refute anything.
She lowered her head and didn’t continue the conversation.
After returning to the resort, the witches first sent Olivia to her exclusive luxury villa to rest.
After settling Olivia in, Tunzuo helped Olivia, who was lying in bed, pull up the covers and said to her:
“Rest well, don’t move around. I’ll come see you tomorrow.”
“Don’t worry, I know my own body, Xiao Youling.”
Olivia agreed with a smile and watched Tunzuo leave.
Afterwards, Xiao Qing carried Tunzuo to the sea villa that belonged to her and An Lin.
With everything settled, Tunzuo went into the bathroom and took a quick hot shower, washing off the smell of blood and fatigue, then collapsed into bed and fell asleep.
Since the thoughts that had been pent up in Tunzuo’s heart had dissipated, she slept exceptionally soundly that night, even her dreams were a calm, deep blue.
The next morning, sunlight streamed through the gaps in the curtains.
Tunzuo yawned as she got up, but as soon as she went downstairs, she saw Olivia sitting on the sofa in her living room, smiling and waving at her.
“Good morning, Xiao Youling! Sleep well?”
Olivia’s bold behavior made Tunzuo raise an eyebrow.
Her drowsiness mostly vanished, and she asked incredulously:
“Pervert dragon? How did you get in? I remember Sister An Lin didn’t come downstairs.”
To Tunzuo’s confusion, Olivia smugly jangled a big bunch of keys in her hand and said with confidence:
“Xiao Youling, don’t forget, Golden Sand Beach is property of the Gold Family. It’s only natural that I have spare keys to every sea villa, right?”
To that, Tunzuo gave Olivia a glare.
She walked up and unceremoniously punched Olivia in the shoulder.
“That’s breaking and entering, pervert dragon! Even if this is your family’s property!”
Tunzuo’s weak attack made Olivia giggle.
She took the opportunity to grab Tunzuo’s hand and pull her to sit beside her.
Tunzuo sat beside Olivia and asked with concern:
“How’s your body? Are you okay?”
“Don’t worry, aside from being a bit weak, there’s nothing serious. Don’t underestimate the constitution of a dragon witch; extraordinary recovery is our racial talent.”
Olivia stretched her arm proudly.
Tunzuo muttered quietly:
“Hmph, thick-skinned.”
Then, she naturally rested her head on Olivia’s shoulder and chatted casually with Olivia about everyday trifles.
Olivia smiled gently and quietly wrapped her dragon tail, covered in fine golden scales, around Tunzuo’s leg, listening quietly to her chatter.
Meanwhile, An Lin, who was about to go downstairs to check on the noise, tilted her head and saw Tunzuo and Olivia being affectionate in the living room.
This made An Lin freeze on the spot.
The empty water glass in An Lin’s hand fell to the floor with a clatter.
The whole witch stood frozen at the top of the stairs as if struck by lightning, her eyes wide as saucers.
Her gaze darted back and forth between Tunzuo and Olivia, her mouth agape as if it could fit an entire ostrich egg.
“N-no way? I-is that witch resting her head on Olivia’s shoulder really my little sister Tunzuo?!”
‘Where’s my tsundere, hard-mouthed good little sister? How was she conquered so suddenly? No, did Olivia the great golden dragon cast a spell on my little sister Tunzuo? Can I get some too? I just slept, and the world line suddenly changed???’
Realizing she had missed the key plot and didn’t get the gossip, An Lin was in pain.
She grabbed her hair, feeling like ten thousand ants were crawling all over her.
This complex feeling of her little sister about to get married tomorrow while she herself still had no partner nearly suffocated An Lin.
In the following days, Golden Sand Beach was calm and peaceful.
The witches enjoyed the last days of their cool vacation to the fullest.
The only difference from before was that Tunzuo and Olivia became extremely lovey-dovey.
The two witches were almost always glued to each other, and the sour yet sweet romantic aura they emitted made the other witches keep their distance.
Among them, the one who suffered the most was undoubtedly An Lin.
Whether at the beach, in the restaurant, or even just wanting to get a drink of water, she would accurately ‘accidentally’ run into Tunzuo and Olivia whispering in corners, feeding each other, or engaging in various intimate interactions that dealt tons of damage to her, a perpetual single dog.
Feeling that her life as a witch was a tragedy, An Lin could only hide in the shadows, biting her handkerchief and crying while furiously complaining in her heart.
‘Can’t bear to look, really can’t bear to look! Why! Why am I always the one hurt! Where is my rich loli? Where are you! Wuwuwu…’
Time flew by like a fleeting horse, and in the blink of an eye, it was the second to last day of vacation, also the last day the witches would stay at Golden Sand Beach.
Since the witches had basically tried all the entertainment options at Golden Sand Beach, they unanimously decided to spend the last day lazily lounging together in Olivia’s exclusive villa, happily ‘raising pigs’ to recharge their energy.
The witches, wearing all kinds of pajamas, were lying haphazardly on the huge sofas and soft carpets in the villa’s living room, each busy with their own things.
Tunzuo, wearing a black nightgown made of sheer fabric, was lazily resting her head on Olivia’s lap, holding a Grimoire and browsing the magical net.
Olivia looked at Tunzuo lying on her lap, her eyes full of tenderness.
Seeing Tunzuo listlessly browsing the magical net, Olivia seemed to suddenly remember something.
She leaned over and pulled out two exquisitely designed game controllers from the drawer of the coffee table, shaking them in front of Tunzuo.
“Want to play games, Xiao Youling?”
Tunzuo sat up from Olivia’s lap and took the controller from her hand, asking curiously:
“Huh? What games are there?”
Olivia stood up, skillfully plugged the two controllers’ cables into the game console in the corner of the living room, and turned on the huge LCD screen that took up almost an entire wall of the villa.
“Block Cat Racing? The most famous party game in witch society. Suitable for all ages, from legendary witches to young witches, all compete on the leaderboards for rankings.”
“Block Cat Racing has two stages. The first stage is the racing part: players control cars to race and compete for rankings. Players can use items to help themselves or hinder other players, while also collecting building blocks that appear on the track to prepare for the second stage.”
“The second stage is the block stacking part. In corresponding grids, players must stack falling blocks properly to clear them and earn points.”
“The building blocks collected in the first stage come in handy here. Players can choose to place them on their own field to help clear blocks, or on other players’ fields to mess things up. Each placement has a five-second cooldown, and the final score is calculated from both stages combined.”
“Those are the basic rules. I’ll explain the detailed rules as we play.”
Olivia smiled as she explained, moving two cushions in front of the screen.
“Sounds like a mix of Mario Kart and Tetris.”
Tunzuo fiddled with the controller in her hand, a hint of interest curling at the corners of her mouth.
She had never played video games from the witch society before.
So Tunzuo sat down eagerly on a cushion and said to Olivia:
“Alright, let’s give it a try.”
