The figure that burst into the fitting room clearly didn’t expect it to be occupied. Even after realizing it, she couldn’t stop her momentum and crashed into me.
Bang.
Collapsing onto the smooth floor, I rubbed my aching forehead and glared up, indignant. “You little—”
But before I could finish, a shadow loomed over me, and a pale little hand covered my mouth.
“Shh.”
Before me was a doll-like face, flushed from exertion, looking adorably out of breath.
Ignoring her ragged breathing, she pressed against me, gesturing for silence while cautiously checking the noise outside the fitting room.
“Don’t let her… get away.”
“…She went… in there.”
“You guys, check inside.”
Did this girl piss someone off? Why does it sound like a mob’s after her?
Hearing the fragmented voices outside, I curiously eyed the strange girl. Cute twin tails, golden-blonde hair—was she a foreigner?
Then came the sound of approaching footsteps.
“Check those fitting rooms.”
As a pleasant female voice spoke, the twin-tailed loli on top of me tensed visibly.
“You’re trying to hide from them, right?”
I whispered.
She froze for a moment, then moved to cover my mouth again.
But I was ready, blocking her hand and pouting. “If you don’t want to get caught, listen to me. Otherwise, I’ll tell them you’re here.”
The twin-tailed loli looked puzzled, as if wondering why I’d help her.
Ignoring her confusion, I stood, grabbing the gauze dress the shop assistant had given me.
Exposing my panties to a stranger I just met was mortifying, but there was no time for that.
Blushing, I pulled the dress up my legs and whispered, “Get behind me. I’ll hide you with my skirt.”
She reacted fast. After a brief pause, she ducked into the corner of the fitting room, curling up as small as possible.
So when the curtain was pulled back, the girl outside saw a delicate loli, half-dressed, struggling to put on a dress.
My slender ankles slipped through the gray gauze skirt, revealing youthful legs. The gap between my white velvet knee-highs and my slouched casual shirt hinted at a mysterious realm, faintly showing a glimpse of blue-and-white.
Maybe the scene was too striking, because the girl froze, only snapping out of it when I let out a squeak.
“Eek!”
“Sorry, sorry!”
She quickly dropped the curtain. Feeling odd stares from around, her face flushed, and she hurried out of the store, joining the others. “She’s not here. Check elsewhere.”
Noticing the silence outside, I sighed in relief. “Alright, you can come ou—”
“Eek!”
Before I could finish, a pair of small hands grabbed my butt, making me yelp.
“You—! What are you doing?!”
I spun around, glaring.
“Just a slip of the hand, don’t get so worked up~” The twin-tailed loli showed no shame, even giving me a thumbs-up. “But you’re the second cutest I’ve seen in blue-and-white stripes.”
Click.
With my rationality meter hitting zero, I responded with action—
Cross lock.
“Ow, ow, ow! Just a joke! I kinda like this position, but you’re too rough—I can’t handle it!”
Feeling my grip tighten, she realized her mistake and raised a white flag. “Wait, I’m sorry! I was wrong!”
I scoffed, letting her go and putting on the gauze dress that had fallen to the floor.
“Hey, I’m Evin. What’s your name?” Rubbing her cheeks, the twin-tailed loli leaned close, her sapphire-blue eyes sparkling with interest.
Mixed-race, maybe?
I glanced at her, then looked away, fixing my disheveled clothes while answering, “An Tong.”
“An Tong, An Tong… Can I call you Anan~?”
“Whatever.”
More than her chatter, I cared about what happened earlier. “Why were those people chasing you?”
“Huh, who knows? Maybe I’m just too cute~” Evin giggled, adding, “Loli fans are everywhere these days. You’re super cute too, Anan, so be careful.”
“Fine, you won’t say.” Seeing her fake-innocent act, I rolled my eyes, not pressing further, and pulled back the curtain. “They’re gone, so you should go too.”
But Evin chased after me, grabbing my arm and blinking. “Who knows if they’ll come back? You gotta protect me, Anan.”
“Why do I have to protect you?”
“What if those loli fans do something awful to me? You wouldn’t abandon me, right…” Evin’s pitiful look, with her gem-like eyes welling up, was heart-tuggingly adorable.
“Like what?”
I’d built some immunity to lolis by now.
“Stuffing something thick in my mouth, making me drink lots of white liquid, or keeping me up all night doing annoying things.”
My mind instantly flashed to scenes from C90, C91, and the like.
“…Need me to call the cops?”
“Huh? It’s just making me eat veggies, drink milk, or do homework. No need for the police, right?”
I paused, realizing she’d deliberately said misleading things.
Sure enough, Evin flashed a mischievous grin. “Did Anan just think of something naughty?”
“No way.” Blushing, I pushed her head back. “Don’t follow me. Leave.”
“Why not?”
“I’m here with my aunts to buy clothes. How do I explain you tagging along?” I said, stepping out of the fitting room.
“Easy.”
Evin giggled, offering a suggestion that nearly made me trip.
“Just say you lured me with a lollipop~”
“…That’ll get me arrested!”
As I tried to retort, a voice interrupted. “Oh, who’s this little sister?”
Looking up, I saw the shop assistants’ curious gazes.
Clearly unaware of what had happened, they were more curious about why one loli went into the fitting room and two came out.
