“JK uniform? That’s what this outfit’s called? When I passed through human territory, I saw tons of people wearing it. I thought it was the hottest trend among humans.” Bingpo looked at Filo, who didn’t seem thrilled, and awkwardly glanced at her sailor outfit.
Though Bingpo was pretty proud of her clothing craftsmanship, if Master wasn’t happy, no matter how good it looked, it was pointless.
Seeing Bingpo’s disappointed expression, Filo covered half her face with one hand and sighed helplessly.
“You think I’m suited for this kind of outfit? Obviously not, okay? And even if we take ten thousand steps back, I’m not human (anymore).” Filo’s words stunned Bingpo, who’d always assumed her Master was human.
“Master’s not human? You look so human—could you be a shapeshifting beast?!” Bingpo asked quickly, shocked.
“Blood Clan.”
“Huh?”
“Blood Clan.”
“Wait, my ears must be—no way they’re bad. Master, you’re Blood Clan?!” Bingpo froze, dumbfounded.
The Blood Clan does look a lot like humans. Bingpo had considered it at first, but vampires have wings and fear sunlight. Even high-ranking ones dread it. Seeing Filo unbothered by sunlight, Bingpo had ruled that out.
“Master, you don’t fear sunlight? Wait, a Blood Clan not afraid of sunlight—Master, you’re a True Ancestor?!” Smart Bingpo instantly hit on the only possibility.
“Yup, True Ancestor.”
Filo nodded, and Bingpo was both shocked and thrilled. Shocked to meet a True Ancestor, a once-in-generations Blood Clan figure, and thrilled that this king-tier powerhouse was her Master.
King-tier! That’s the pinnacle of a race’s power pyramid, and a True Ancestor is among the top ten strongest kings.
[King]!
[Demon King Candidate]!
Filo’s titles alone proved the True Ancestor’s might.
“Master! Don’t tell Chiyan you’re a True Ancestor. Keep it secret as long as possible. Let’s make it our little secret, okay?” Bingpo’s big, sapphire-like eyes sparkled with anticipation.
Filo hadn’t planned to hide it, but since Bingpo asked, sure, why not? Human or vampire, it didn’t stop her salted-fish life.
The only real issue was turning into a girl…
With Filo’s agreement, Bingpo giggled happily. The idea of sharing a secret with Master was thrilling, and if Chiyan found out later, her shocked, dumbfounded face would be pure joy~
Bingpo covered her cheeks with both hands, her face glowing with indescribable delight.
This girl’s personality… is pretty wicked, huh.
Filo mentally roasted her, then prepared to flop back onto the recliner for some salted-fish time. But the moment she lay down, both she and Bingpo froze. A second later, a massive noise erupted from one side of the forest villa, followed by Chiyan’s scream.
“AAAAAAAAH!!!”
“Chiyan?”
“Wasn’t she chopping wood? What’s in the forest that could hurt a dragon?”
Filo and Bingpo, puzzled, glanced that way, skipped the chit-chat, and rushed over. In under a minute, they reached Chiyan’s logging area.
“Holy crap, what’s going on…”
Filo stood dumbstruck, tilting her head up. Crystal-clear liquid gushed from a ground fissure, blasting Chiyan into the air.
“Bingpo… Master! Look, this water’s warm! I was trying to uproot a tree, and suddenly all this water shot out!” Chiyan stammered loudly from midair.
Warm water?
Filo walked to the gushing water and touched it. Yup, warm and super comfy. Just a touch felt amazing—this had to be hot spring water, right?
As Filo touched it, Bingpo stretched out her palm toward the water, muttering softly, “Detect.”
A virtual screen popped up in front of Bingpo, but it displayed eight big words: “Insufficient clearance, unable to detect.”
“Ugh, my detection skill’s only LV4. Can’t read this. Must be something good, though. Master, you can detect it, right?” Bingpo asked Filo.
Seeing Bingpo’s move, Filo realized the virtual interface wasn’t just hers. You had to say “Detect” to bring it up?
“Detect.”
Filo murmured softly. A screen twice Bingpo’s size appeared, packed with text, unlike Bingpo’s “insufficient clearance” message.
“Level 7 Holy Spring, ultra-rare water with powerful healing effects. One second of immersion can regrow limbs. Can be used for regeneration potions, healing potions, enhancement potions, energy potions…”
Good stuff.
Filo looked at the spring water, stunned. Level 7 Holy Spring—forget the “Level 7” part, just “Holy Spring” screamed high-class.
“Master, what is it?”
“Seems like a Level 7 Holy Spring.”
“Level… Level 7? Oh my gosh.”
Bingpo gulped hard. A Level 7 Holy Spring was treasure-tier for any race. The dragon clan’s core territory had a Holy Spring, but it was only the same level as this one.
“Master, our luck’s insane…”
“For real. Looks like we’ve got another spot for salted-fish chilling.” Red threads appeared in Filo’s hands. With a wave, she tore the ground open.
Boom!!!
The ground collapsed, and the Holy Spring stopped spurting from a fissure, now calmly filling the massive pit Filo had ripped open.
Chiyan, who’d been blasted skyward by the fountain, lost her lift and whooshed downward.
“AAAAAH!!!”
“Ah, quit yelling! That height’s nothing to fear. You’re a dragon—you can fly, duh.”
“Uh… right, heh.”
Chiyan, falling, sprouted wings from her back, instantly halting midair.
She stared blankly at the Holy Spring, her body suddenly bursting with fiery-red light.
Whoosh!
