The battle raged on. Elia and Lillian, two peerless saints, fought from the ground to the air and then back to the ground again.
[Step 10: Holy Light Judgment]
[Step 10: Holy Spirit Heavenly Slash]
Those two colossal beams of light collided in midair first.
[Step 11: Divine Radiance]
[Step 11: Annihilation Divine Birth]
Then two more pillars of light blasted two bottomless craters into the ground.
After they landed back on the ground, Elia was drenched in sweat and panting heavily.
The consumption of a 11th Tier spell was immense.
Even she couldn’t use them consecutively…
‘Ugh, this is the first time since I crossed over that I’ve faced an enemy this much stronger than me, and also the first time I’ve had to spam these world-ending level spells so frequently.’
Fortunately, this place called the Vampire Forbidden Land, the Origin Point, was clearly protected by powerful barriers and magic formations—otherwise, the two of them would have demolished it by now.
But… Elia was exhausted, yet Lillian remained expressionless.
“If you’re tired, I’m not,” she said flatly.
Elia gritted her teeth.
Just then, three figures suddenly appeared at the edge of the battlefield.
It was North, Fei Yue, and Cardonnel, who had just recovered. Seeing that Lillian had the upper hand, they all acted at once.
[Step 10: Universal Darkness]
North waved his hand, unleashing a shadowy wave that covered the sky and rushed toward Elia.
[Step 10: Soul-Devouring Ghost Spiral Slash]
On the other side, Fei Yue turned into a phantom and flashed into the air, then began spinning at extreme speed until she became a black-purple tornado. Countless sword auras of the same color slashed out from within it.
Cardonnel was behind them, providing magic buffs for their attacks.
But Elia was fully occupied dealing with Lillian at that moment… there was simply no way to dodge the spells from those two sneaky bastards.
Just as the situation became critical, Kiz rushed forward at the fastest speed of her life and shouted, “Step 11: Blood God’s Protection!”
The moment she deployed that barrier, she spat out a mouthful of blood… mainly because her magic power was restricted by the Holy Grail, and forcibly unleashing an 11th Tier spell had overloaded her body.
But she didn’t care about that. She only cared about the Elia in front of her.
After Kiz completely neutralized the attacks from those two sneaky bastards, her body went limp and she collapsed to the ground…
Though she didn’t lose consciousness, she couldn’t use any magic at all for now, and her stamina was nearly drained.
“Kiz—!”
Seeing this, Elia’s eyes went wide.
Kiz struggled to lift her head and look at Elia, forcing a smile. “I’m fine, don’t worry.”
Then Lisa crouched beside her, casting various positive buff magic and healing spells on her… though her magic was also restricted, making the effects minimal, it was better than nothing.
At that moment, Elia’s eyes turned red. “You… are asking for death!”
The moment the words left her mouth, a surge of golden light exploded from her body.
[Step 12: Judgment]
The 12th Tier was the pinnacle of magic in this world, possessing not only world-destroying destructive power but also involving the rules of causality.
As for the one Elia was using, it wouldn’t cause massive destruction, but it was an absolute killing blow.
Once successfully released, unless someone stronger blocked it, the targeted target would definitely die, with no way to resist.
Also, the 12th Tier magic had a special feature: it could only be used once a day, but the upside was that it consumed no internal magic power.
Hmm… maybe because the commanding tone of those three had angered Lillian, she chose not to interfere when Elia turned to deal with them. Instead, she leisurely kicked at a pebble by her foot where she stood.
Now, the expressions of the three bishops finally changed. North’s face looked like he’d eaten a hundred pounds of bitter melon; Fei Yue’s face alternated between red and green; Cardonnel had every negative emotion in the world written across his face.
“Wait! We can actually talk!” North tried to negotiate, but Fei Yue grabbed his arm and shook her head.
“We are holys of the Holy Grail Order. We cannot be cowards who fear death, nor can we sue for peace with the enemy… We must fight to the very end! The Lord is with us!” Fei Yue declared solemnly, then drew her sword and charged forward.
Even though the Sword of Judgment was already hanging over her head, she kept advancing rapidly toward Elia.
Her actions inspired North and the half-despairing Cardonnel.
“Yes! That’s right! The Lord is with us! We swear to shed the last drop of blood for the Lord!”…
“The Lord is with us! The Holy Grail is with us! Charge!”
Elia was actually impressed. ‘Not bad… it’s quite stirring, huh…’
But the Sword of Judgment felt no pity for them.
Then all three were pierced by the Sword of Judgment at the same time. The next second after being pierced, they turned into specks of starlight and dissipated into the air.
“Ha… All done here?” Lillian yawned.
But before Elia could answer, she added, “Looks like it. Come on, keep fighting me. I haven’t had enough yet.”
Well, there’s no rest for the weary.
“Alright, I’ll fight you.” Elia assumed her combat stance again.
Just then, Kiz struggled to her feet and came up to her side. “Count me in too. I’m joining.”
“You…”
Elia was about to ask if Kiz was okay, but Kiz cut her off. “Those three are dead, so the Holy Grail’s restriction is gone. That means I’m a full Blood Princess now.”
“And me too.” Lisa also came up to stand in line with them.
Lillian tilted her head. “Three against one?”
“What, scared?” Elia retorted.
“This is getting more and more interesting…” Lillian’s holy light gathered again in her hand, gradually staining red, but it didn’t completely cover the gold until it became half-gold, half-red light.
Then the three attacked at the same time. Elia engaged head-on, Kiz flanked from the left, and Lisa circled around from the right.
But Lillian, surrounded by the trio, remained calm. Her body spun rapidly, releasing a wave of gold-red light that knocked all three back several steps.
“Keep going!”
At Elia’s command, the three charged in again.
That girl Lillian was overwhelmingly strong, but she was clearly seriously lacking in combat experience… while Kiz and Lisa were seasoned veterans.
“Look left!” Kiz shouted. Lillian actually turned to look left.
Elia took the chance to punch her in the stomach, making Lillian stagger back two steps. “Ouch,” she muttered softly.
The fight grew more intense. With the lesson learned, Lillian no longer let anyone distract her.
But Kiz and Lisa were practically world-Tier fighters, and with Elia, who was on par with Lillian, it was a powerhouse team.
Elia’s holy light pounded against Lillian again and again. Kiz’s Blood Abyss left countless wounds on her body. Lisa’s shadow magic provided superb crowd control.
But no matter how many injuries they inflicted on Lillian, the Ancient Core kept healing her at incredible speed and continuously supplied her with magic power.
On the other hand, Lillian’s attacks all dealt massive damage that was impossible to block—only dodge. But most of her spells were large-scale AOE, making them extremely difficult to evade.
“This isn’t working… We’re burning too much energy, and that girl has almost no consumption,” Kiz said, panting.
Elia felt it too.
If this dragged on, they would run out of strength first. They had to think of another way.
For example… find her weakness, or something…
