The Slime Queen surged her massive body, each tentacle lancing precisely toward Dark Lisa.
Dark Lisa weaved through the tide of tentacles, her lithe form swiftly wielding her short blade and dagger, black flames trailing her slashes to form arcs of sword energy, severing the incoming tentacles one by one.
The Slime Queen retreated expressionlessly, quickly merging with her clone that had been entangled with Kavi.
Her already massive form swelled like a balloon, threatening to swallow both Dark Lisa and Kavi whole.
Dark Lisa leaped high with a tap of her toes, her blade flashing as she spun in the air, unleashing torrents of sword energy.
SQUELCH!
The Slime Queen’s body was sliced repeatedly, releasing a bone-chilling white mist that slowed the spread of the rolling black flames on her wounds.
“This queen acknowledges your swordsmanship. In your prime, you might rank among the top ten in my long life,” the Slime Queen said, her face grave, as her severed body quickly fused back together, seemingly unharmed.
“But with just a blade and dagger, you cannot defeat me.”
Though both Dark Lisa and the Slime Queen were weakened, both at level 50, Dark Lisa was using Ying Ye’s body.
Even enhanced by Dark Fall, it couldn’t fully withstand her power.
In contrast, the Slime Queen’s physical immunity and regeneration were barely diminished. No matter how precise or sharp Dark Lisa’s strikes, they couldn’t deal fatal damage.
With that, the Slime Queen moved with a BOOM, transforming into a massive hammer, carrying unstoppable force as it smashed toward Dark Lisa.
Facing this mountain-like blow, Dark Lisa didn’t retreat. Her short blade and dagger crossed in a flash, like a dazzling sword dance, slicing the incoming hammer into countless small fragments that scattered, whipping up fierce winds.
“Always ‘this queen, this queen’… annoying much?” Dark Lisa said coldly, the black flames on her blade intensifying. “I give you a bit of respect, and you get cocky? Weakling.”
She grunted, a pair of illusory black wings unfurling from her back. With a gust of wind, the wings flapped, lifting her into the air.
“Since you’re so confident, let me show you the true power of a Fallen Angel.”
The black flames in Dark Lisa’s hands erupted, carrying destructive force, falling like meteors and striking the Slime Queen’s reforming fragments with earth-shaking EXPLOSIONS.
At the same time, Kavi spewed bursts of searing dragon flames from her mouth, intertwining with Dark Lisa’s black flames, bombarding the Slime remains relentlessly.
Under the onslaught of these two forces, the already ruined buildings crumbled to dust, Slime mucus splattering and sticking to the surrounding debris.
After a long while, the explosions subsided. Dark Lisa’s ample chest heaved, her gaze fixed on the smoke-shrouded blast center.
As the smoke cleared, a pale red, ethereal woman stood at the epicenter—the Slime Queen’s smaller upper body.
She snapped her fingers, and hundreds of mucus streams surged like a tidal wave, engulfing Dark Lisa’s slender form from all directions.
In a breath, the Slime Queen restored her massive body, as if the explosions had never happened.
She looked down coldly at the two. “This queen told you, your attacks are useless—”
WHOOSH!
A black kunai pierced the Slime Queen’s head, followed by a SLICE as Dark Lisa flashed behind her, cutting her in half again.
“…Utterly useless.” The Slime Queen restored herself instantly, her head rotating 180 degrees, her eyes mocking. “What are you even fighting for?”
Dark Lisa exhaled a turbid breath, shaking her head. “Looks like you’re not just an ordinary Slime.”
In the earlier fight, whether through slashes or explosions, Dark Lisa had been setting up her dark, corrupted black flames.
The flames clung to wounds, seeping into the Slime Queen’s body as she healed, gradually tainting her with Dark Fall power.
But strangely, no matter how many attacks or healings, the Slime Queen remained unaffected, as if untouched.
“You thought you could corrupt me with those filthy black flames?” the Slime Queen sneered. “You did taint me, but during my fusions, I’ve separated the corrupted parts, splitting them into hundreds of hair-thin fragments scattered in the ruins.”
Dark Lisa narrowed her eyes, scanning the surroundings, indeed spotting faint traces of Dark Fall energy in the debris.
So, the Slime Queen’s control over her body is unimaginably precise.
Dark Lisa sighed. “Ying Ye’s body is too weak, and there’s not enough time.”
If it were my own body, I could unleash more ferocious, brutal skills, wearing her down, trading wounds to speed up the corruption.
But there were no ifs. A few minutes weren’t enough to defeat the Slime Queen.
At that moment, faltering footsteps came from the house. Bai Yue Ling emerged, leaning against the wall, her shapely, snow-white legs trembling.
She’d finally recovered from the thigh-crushing daze.
Dark Lisa approached, leaning gently on her shoulder. “Sorry, didn’t expect this Slime to be tougher than I thought. I couldn’t corrupt her.”
Bai Yue Ling took a deep breath, patting her back. “It’s okay.”
“Heh, go ahead and mock me—I won’t talk back,” Dark Lisa’s voice grew weak. “By the way… during the fight, I sensed a trace of divinity in her.”
“D-Divinity?”
“Right, she’s definitely not an ordinary Slime. But oddly, I’ve never heard of her exis… existence…” Dark Lisa’s eyelids drooped, her voice faint as a mosquito’s buzz. “My consciousness is slipping into slumber again… You’re on your own now…”
With that, a black mist drifted from Ying Ye’s body, returning to the mark on Bai Yue Ling’s abdomen. Ying Ye’s eyes closed, seemingly unconscious.
Bai Yue Ling sighed, looking up to see the Slime Queen had subdued Kavi and was slithering toward her.
With nowhere to escape, she could only face her.
“Ant, any last words?” The Slime Queen loomed over her, her voice dripping with arrogance. “Though I don’t know why you vanish into white light, unable to become my sustenance, I can still torment you slowly, molding you into my shape.”
“Heh… weakling.”
Utterly out of options, Bai Yue Ling sat on the ground, holding Ying Ye. “You think if you don’t kill me, I can’t leave?”
If needed, she had one final trump card—force quitting.
“Heh, then just die obediently.”
The Slime Queen extended a tentacle, slowly wrapping around Bai Yue Ling’s delicate form, ready to strangle the reckless girl.
Suddenly, she seemed to sense something, her brows rising in surprise. “Wait, this is… one of my clones left in the outside world?”
A pale blue Slime emerged, dancing excitedly toward the Slime Queen.
Her usually cold face broke into a rare smile.
As a queen, she rarely felt such a close, familiar aura.
“Didn’t expect to reunite with a clone so soon after waking,” the Slime Queen said, gently wrapping the clone in a tentacle, absorbing it slowly. “Let us become one.”
As the clone merged into her, the Slime Queen took a deep breath, closing her eyes, her face glowing with satisfaction, savoring the joy of reunion.
But the moment the clone fully merged, a dense black mist BURST forth, spreading instantly through her body, filling it with dark, corrupted energy.
“W-What’s happening?!”
The Slime Queen convulsed, her cold face now filled with panic.
Bai Yue Ling recalled something.
The Slime Queen’s clone had been tamed as a pet after undergoing her Dark Fall baptism.
If the Slime Queen absorbed her clone, she’d naturally be affected by the clone’s Dark Fall.
Seizing this rare chance, a glint flashed in Bai Yue Ling’s eyes. She locked her gaze on the Slime Queen without hesitation—
“Dark Fall!”
