Ouruola thought Noah was trying to use massage to enhance her bust.
After a few teasing remarks, Ouruola turned back to continue searching for small metal objects, leaving Noah alone, bewildered.
Noah turned to look at Ouruola’s back, feeling her eyes twitching in anger.
She glanced back and forth between Ouruola’s back and her own chest.
After holding back again and again, she finally refrained from kicking Ouruola in the butt.
Noah sighed, and finally thought helplessly to herself,
‘What is this girl talking about…’
Noah knew that Ouruola was definitely suspicious.
The Sin Organization that the Black-clad People mentioned was probably where Ouruola originally stayed.
As for why she was locked up here, it probably wasn’t what she had imagined.
After getting everything ready, Noah took her dagger and pistol and prepared to head back to the Warehouse District.
She silently made a plan in her heart, determined not to give the Black-clad People any chance to react this time.
Ouruola led Noah straight to the Warehouse District.
She knocked on the seal of a container and turned to Noah, saying, “Come on, beauty, help me open this. There might be some supplies inside. We… Hey, wait! What are you doing?!”
Noah didn’t want to hear her nonsense.
She grabbed Ouruola’s arm and pulled her behind a container.
Noah pointed at the three Black-clad People who had just entered the Warehouse District and asked Ouruola, “Look, do you know who these people are?”
Ouruola opened her mouth in surprise.
She looked at Noah with an incredulous expression.
“You mean you already sensed someone else just after entering here? That’s amazing?”
“You flatter me,”
Noah replied calmly.
“What do you think we should do now?”
Ouruola thought quietly for a moment.
“I really don’t know these people, but I can tell they’re not to be trifled with. I suggest we go back immediately and wait until they’re gone before passing through the Warehouse District. How about that?”
Noah glanced at her and said calmly, “No need. I’ll handle it.”
Ouruola’s expression became even more surprised.
“Do you know them?”
“Maybe.”
This time, Noah didn’t intend to let Ouruola stay out of it.
She grabbed her wrist and dragged her over.
This scared Ouruola quite a bit.
She struggled hard, wanting to scream but not daring to.
“Are you crazy?! If you want to die, don’t drag me with you! Let go! Let go!”
When they saw two people approaching aggressively, the Black-clad People were also startled.
The leading Black-clad immediately drew his Long Blade, lowered his body into a combat stance, and asked, “Tell me…”
Same as last time, Noah immediately interrupted him and asked back, “Tell me, how many moons are in the sky?”
The Black-clad was momentarily stunned.
After exchanging glances with his subordinates, he immediately retracted his combat stance, sheathed his Long Blade, and said with feigned ease, “Three. There are three moons in the sky. So you’re one of us. You scared us.”
After hearing the Black-clad’s answer, Noah’s face immediately darkened.
She drew her pistol and aimed at the Black-clad, scolding with a vicious tone, “One of us? Are you kidding?! You got the secret code wrong! Where are you really from? How dare you impersonate our comrades?!”
The leading Black-clad was clearly taken aback.
He pondered for a moment, then nodded.
“Apologies. I was just testing your identity. Allow me to answer again: There is no moon in the sky.”
For some reason, the Black-clad’s tone was a little excited.
With some nervousness and anticipation, he asked Noah again, “Please tell me, why is there no moon in the sky?”
Just as she thought, the secret code exchange wasn’t over yet.
Noah was startled.
She was now somewhat convinced that the mysterious voice was there to help her.
It had even given her the answer!
After a brief moment of blankness, Noah immediately replied.
“Because that thing isn’t called the moon.”
In Noah’s imagination, after she gave the correct answer, the leading Black-clad would relax his guard and make small talk with her, allowing her to seize the opportunity to ambush him and take his weapon.
But to her surprise, as soon as she uttered the answer, the Black-clad People were shocked.
Under Noah’s astonished gaze, the three of them knelt in unison and chanted in one voice:
“We are awed! The Shagai Squad is at your service!”
“We have finally found you, great Lady Gehelos!”
‘What? What did they call me?!’
Not only was Noah stunned, but Ouruola, who was following behind, was also at a loss.
She gently tugged at Noah’s clothes and asked in confusion, “They called you Lady? So you already have a husband?”
Noah’s heart was also in turmoil.
She had already rehearsed various possible scenarios in her mind, but this was the only one she hadn’t anticipated.
Shagai Squad?
Lady Gehelos?
She had no idea what they were talking about!
Husband…
Do I have a husband?
Noah felt a bit dazed.
Apart from knowing her name was Noah, she couldn’t remember anything else.
If she really had a husband, where was he?
It wasn’t until she heard Ouruola asking her from behind that Noah snapped out of it.
Although she didn’t understand why the Black-clad People had suddenly knelt before her, she knew she couldn’t lose her composure.
With that thought, Noah cleared her throat and put on a pose that she thought was dignified.
“Rise. I have something to ask you.”
Hearing Noah’s command, the Black-clad People gently stood up.
Noah pondered for a moment, then tentatively asked, “My husband… Is he doing well?”
The Black-clad People were clearly taken aback.
The leading Black-clad was silent for a moment, then said in a hesitant tone, “Lady… What are you talking about? Ever since you left the organization, the Leader has been searching for your whereabouts. Now that you have finally returned, please come back with us to meet the Leader.”
“Huh? When did I…?”
Noah didn’t understand what they were talking about, but upon second thought, she realized that these guys must have mistaken her for someone else.
Their organization probably had some secret codes that only a specific identity could answer.
Noah nodded and went along with their words.
“Go meet the Leader… I will. But first, I want to ask, where did you come from?”
The leading Black-clad immediately replied respectfully, “Reporting to Lady, we came from the Main Gate area. The Leader ordered everyone in the organization to search for your whereabouts. We dared not slack off for a moment.”
“Main Gate!”
Noah immediately became alert.
That meant as long as she went to the Main Gate, she could leave this place?
Noah pointed at the corridor behind and said excitedly, “I saw you coming from that direction. Is that the way to the Main Gate?”
From start to finish, Noah had only one goal: to leave this Research Institute.
If these Black-clad People had come from the Main Gate direction, then they should know the situation there.
“Yes, Lady. Follow this route all the way, and you’ll reach the Main Gate of the Research Institute,”
the leading Black-clad said, his tone seeming hesitant.
He paused for a moment before continuing, “But Lady, I would not advise you to go there…”
Noah was puzzled.
“Why?”
“Lady, the Main Gate has a password lock. No one knows the password. Otherwise, we would have escaped long ago.”
The Black-clad shook his head and sighed,
“Moreover, the Sin Organization has occupied the Main Gate area. When we passed by stealthily, they seemed to be working on deciphering the password. We didn’t dare act rashly and took a detour through another corridor to get here.”
