“Weak?! Where am I weak? I’m an Ultimate Being—one of only ten in the world, the strongest dragon!” the Dragon King roared, fists clenched.
But no matter how much she yelled at Filo’s face, Filo’s opinion didn’t budge. Weak? Yeah, compared to a True Ancestor, the Dragon King seemed kinda… fragile. Are Ultimate Beings ranked like tiers or something?
Filo mused, oblivious to how her honest flex was making the Dragon King’s “fragile little heart” pound with rage. Behind her, Bingpo’s parents sweated buckets. Calling the Dragon King weak? Only a veteran True Ancestor would dare.
Dad shivered, recalling his youth—one Dragon King could wreck a thousand of him. But Filo made her look like nothing. So, how many Dads equal one Filo? Math doesn’t compute—probably one casual swipe flattens a pile of them.
Post-LV600, each level’s stat boost dwarfs earlier ones. LV999 doesn’t always mean Ultimate Being, but Ultimate Beings are always LV999, with stats way above normal. If Dad’s a mook, an infinite army might annoy Filo to death—Salted-Fish King hates interruptions.
Filo’s indifference pissed off the Dragon King. Teeth gritted, fists sparking with black lightning—Chidori?!
Filo blinked as the electrified punch flew at her. She raised a hand to block, then remembered: I’m in my weak phase… damn!
She ducked, the punch grazing past. Gulp. Close call—she thought she was toast. Unbeknownst to her, [Immortal and Indestructible] was a passive title. A hit might sting, but death? Nah. If it was that easy, the original Filo wouldn’t have teamed up with the goddess to shove Filo’s soul into this body, transferring that passive to her.
Dodging, Filo felt a twinge of fear, but the Dragon King wasn’t done. “Fall where you fail, rise where you fell!” If she couldn’t beat Filo, she’d never progress. “Dragon Roar Thunder Flash!”
Her other arm formed a hand-blade, slicing at Filo’s chest. Swoosh! It pierced through. Filo spat blood, collapsing.
The Dragon King, hands trembling with excitement, pulled back. “I avenged myself so easily? I am strong! I’m invinci—”
“Ow, that hurt. Thought I was a goner,” Filo grumbled, casually standing up, wound fully healed, shirt torn.
[Immortal and Indestructible]
Filo glanced at her system panel’s title, nodding to herself. The Dragon King gaped. “Why aren’t you dead?!”
“You were actually trying to kill me?!” Filo shot back.
“Of course!” The Dragon King puffed her cheeks, readying another stance.
Filo raised a palm. “Hold up. I’m in my weak phase—pointless to fight now. At least wait for my saturation phase, not even my peak phase.”
Weak phase? Saturation phase? Peak phase? The Dragon King, clueless about vampire cycles, blinked. Still, she lowered her fists. “So… how do you hit that… whatever phase?”
“Bloodsucking.”
“Bloodsucking?!”
“I’m a vampire. It’s normal, right?” Filo said, though she cringed inside. Bloodsucking’s addictive—she didn’t want to get hooked.
Bingpo bounced forward, arm raised like she was claiming a prize. “Master! Me! You’ve drunk my blood twice—said it was tasty, right? No worries, I’m fine!” She flicked her hair, baring her tempting neck.
Filo gulped. Chiyan, not to be outdone, rushed up, mimicking her. “No, me! I’m higher level—my blood’s gotta be better!”
“Level doesn’t mean tastier!” Bingpo snapped.
“I don’t care, mine’s better!” Their heads bonked together.
Their parents facepalmed. You’re twins…
“Stop fighting. Use mine,” the Dragon King said.
Bingpo and Chiyan froze, staring. The Dragon King tilted her head, lifting her hair to expose her neck. Her face flushed—lingering ecstasy or shy embarrassment?
“Don’t get ideas! My blood’s just better than theirs. Get to your… whatever phase faster. Beating a weak you? No value!” she huffed, eyes closed.
Filo’s jaw dropped, fangs peeking out. This Dragon King… kinda cute~
