Chapter 9: Some Private Photos

Designation: B347
Containment Level: D-Class
Name: Ying Su

Project Overview:

The contained subject is a human female measuring one hundred thirty-three centimeters in height and weighing thirty kilograms. Bone age analysis conducted through puncture methods confirms that she is biologically an adult, despite presenting with a distinctly childlike outward appearance. She has white hair, her body is in a completely healthy and stable condition, and her human characteristics align with Central Asian ethnicity.

Psychological profiling and behavioral assessments both indicate a male orientation in terms of cognition and disposition.

She is highly capable in conversation, communicates fluently, and maintains a very friendly demeanor. There are no observable signs of aggression, nor has she demonstrated any offensive capabilities or hostile tendencies.

Doctor Anna held the report in her hands, her gaze lingering on its contents as she fell into thought.

“Unexpectedly, she’s also LGBT.”

This detail, however, was not of primary importance. What truly mattered was the line written below.

[The target emits a fragrant scent that produces a calming effect. The specific characteristics and mechanisms are pending further testing.]

This note had been written personally by Doctor Anna. She had discovered this phenomenon during direct conversation with the subject. At the time, she had been extremely fatigued, yet after perceiving the scent, she suddenly felt refreshed, as though her exhaustion had been completely erased in an instant.

Doctor Anna quickly recognized that this unusual effect was not something ordinary. It was very likely that this peculiar trait was the true reason the subject had been confined within the basement facility.

“If it turns out to have addictive properties, that would become a serious problem... I should assign a few E-Class personnel to test it first.” Doctor Anna concluded that, for now, it would be best if she personally avoided further direct contact.

“Hmm...”

“Doctor, have you seen my access card?” Sylvia, her former assistant and now the director of a project, spoke up. Under normal circumstances, Sylvia should have already relocated to a dedicated project office to oversee her responsibilities.

However, since Doctor Anna had yet to determine who would replace her as assistant, Sylvia continued to carry out assistant duties while holding the title of project director.

“Perfect timing, Sylvia. I’ve made my decision—it’s you.” Doctor Anna said plainly.

“What? I thought your period wasn’t today.”

“What period? You’re taking over Project B347.”

“Oh... so I’ve really become a project director now.”

“This is a project under my direct supervision. You’ll report directly to me. Perform well, and you’ll be reinstated to your previous position.”

“So I don’t need to move my belongings after all?”

“Stop talking and get to work.”

“Alright...”

Not long after, a targeted experimental procedure was officially initiated.

When Ying Su was escorted out of her room, she was still in the middle of assembling a model kit. Clearly, such minor personal requests were permitted within limits, though it remained unclear which employee had unwillingly contributed their prized possession.

“Good girl. From now on, I’ll be taking over as your project supervisor in place of Doctor Anna. My name is Sylvia.”

“Big Sister Sylvia.” Ying Su responded obediently and without hesitation.

“Yes, very good.” Sylvia narrowed her eyes slightly behind the protective suit. This appeared to be a manageable and promising subject. “Alright, follow me.”

Ying Su was then led into a specially prepared room. Inside, two individuals were restrained to chairs. They were naked, with only a thin layer of cloth loosely covering their bodies.

Their ears, eyes, and mouths were all sealed shut, leaving only their noses exposed for breathing. Their heads were fitted with tightly secured testing apparatus, and their hair had been completely shaved off.

“Come here, Ying Su. Stand right here.” Sylvia guided her to a position between the two restrained individuals. “Now, put this on.”

A sensory deprivation helmet was placed over Ying Su’s head, immediately cutting off all five of her senses. This measure was taken primarily out of Sylvia’s consideration for basic humanitarian concerns, as what was about to occur would not be appropriate for a child to witness.

Sylvia then addressed the outside personnel, “You may begin. Experiment record B347—one. Testing conditions under minor injury.”

Following several sharp electrical activation sounds, Sylvia began the procedure. She picked up a scalpel from the nearby table and made a clean incision on each subject’s hand.

The monitoring equipment connected to their brains began transmitting data almost immediately.

“There is indeed a clearly measurable calming effect. Proceeding to experiment record B347—two. Testing response to pain stimuli.”

Sylvia pressed a button. A powerful electric current instantly surged through both subjects’ bodies.

They began struggling violently, their bodies convulsing under the intense stimulation. However, due to their restraints and the gagging of their mouths, they were unable to produce any audible cries.

Sylvia observed the entire process without any visible change in expression. Only when she deemed the level sufficient did she press the button again to stop the current.

She reviewed the incoming data calmly. “Proceeding to experiment record B347—three. Gradual escalation of pain intensity.”

This time, she slowly increased the electrical output in a controlled manner.

A chill spread across Ying Su’s back. Although her senses had been completely blocked, Olivia was transmitting a real-time narration directly to her, even deliberately exaggerating the gruesome details.

“That woman has already electrocuted them to the point where their eyes have popped out. The exposed nerves are turning black...”

“Stop! Don’t say anything else—I’m scared!”

Although Ying Su had frequently been subjected to Olivia’s torment—occasionally being stabbed—Olivia had never engaged in grotesque or excessively cruel acts. At most, she treated Ying Su like a stuffed doll, pulling things apart and putting them back together without causing irreversible damage.

Ying Su herself was not someone who would scream at the mere sight of blood. The corpses she had seen before had all been the result of unavoidable circumstances—death had simply occurred.

But deliberately inflicting such suffering through electrocution was something entirely different. It made her stomach churn uncontrollably.

“This place really isn’t anything good.”

Just moments earlier, she had thought that life here was not so bad—eat, sleep, assemble models, and occasionally play video games. She had even briefly considered that staying here for life might not be so terrible.

Now, that thought had completely vanished. This place was nothing short of a hellhole.

“Alright, little Ying Su. The test is finished. Let’s head back.” Sylvia said as she led her out and removed the helmet.

“Okay.” Ying Su replied obediently once more.

After escorting Ying Su away, a staff member approached Sylvia and asked, “Director, how should we handle the two test subjects?”

“Cut them into pieces, then dispose of them through the Resource Exchanger. Write up the report and submit it to me for approval.” Sylvia answered without hesitation. This was standard procedure. The facility ensured that every last bit of value was extracted.

Subjects like these, once processed, could be exchanged for two tubes of nutrient paste. A single tube was sufficient to sustain a person’s full nutritional requirements for an entire week. And the cost? Merely the remains of used test subjects.

In comparison, that hardly counted as a cost at all.

As for whether those consuming the nutrient paste were aware of its origin, that was entirely irrelevant to her.

With orders issued, the personnel proceeded to carry out disposal procedures.

The bodies, rendered useless by the electrical damage, were sent for dismemberment. The helmets used in the experiment were returned to storage for future reuse.

The storage facility for important experimental equipment was located in the deeper levels of the structure. At the end of the day, once all projects had concluded, everything would be transported back down.

“Not bad. Looks like there are fewer projects now. Even the amount of equipment has decreased.” The transport staff commented casually.

However, as they transported the equipment into the deeper layers and passed through a sealed valve, a mass of liquid quietly seeped out from the transport vehicle and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

...

“I think you’re a mistake.”

“Hey, don’t just pin something like that on me. I’m actively trying to figure out how to escape. This isn’t the kind of place you can just break out of with brute force.” Ying Su replied.

Olivia remained perfectly hidden. Even medical examinations were unable to detect her presence. No one would suspect that a dangerous B-Class containment entity—the Red Monster—was residing within Ying Su.

Still, Ying Su had very limited opportunities to act. Aside from scheduled experiments, she rarely had the chance to leave her room. However, most reasonable requests were granted without issue.

She could assemble model kits, play single-player video games, and maintain a relatively comfortable lifestyle. Sylvia deliberately ensured that the subject remained emotionally stable and physically comfortable, making the living conditions surprisingly tolerable.

Meanwhile, Olivia was quietly working on something behind the scenes. Compared to her previous confinement in a freezing prison, this environment was significantly more comfortable, so she remained patient. She had already waited this long—waiting longer made little difference.

Additionally, she now had someone she could converse with.

Although Olivia despised humans as a whole, the small being before her was clearly somewhat different from the rest.

That unique constitution even made inhabiting her feel faintly comfortable.

However, the fact that Ying Su knew her true name posed a significant risk. Even if Olivia currently had no intention of killing her, once she escaped, she would ensure that Ying Su remained firmly under her control.

Every action she took and every word she spoke would need to fall within Olivia’s control.

[Olivia Favorability + five]

[Olivia Favorability has reached thirty. First phase task completed.]

“?”

Ying Su felt confused. She had done absolutely nothing, so why had the favorability increased on its own?

Could it be that Olivia had been doing something inside her body again without her noticing?

Wait—that meant she now had two system points available again, which effectively gave her two additional revival opportunities.

That was definitely a positive outcome.

[New favorability tasks have been issued.]

[Attempt physical contact

(Hint: Olivia has a strong aversion to being touched. Only individuals who are sufficiently beautiful, clean, pure, and untouched are permitted to make contact with her.)

Favorability + five]

[Discuss her original family

(Hint: Vampire family relationships are extremely cold and detached. Even close relatives may kill one another without hesitation. Olivia desires genuine emotional bonds, but having witnessed too many broken ones, she no longer trusts such feelings. Sincerity is extremely important.)

Favorability + fifteen]

[Fulfill one of her needs

(Hint: Olivia enjoys listening... updated: Olivia enjoys residing within Ying Su’s body, as it allows her to think calmly and clearly.)

Favorability + ???]

The system truly functioned like a guide, practically revealing everything step by step.

But this so-called preference was rather strange. How exactly was it connected to her?

Even so, these tasks were far from easy. Olivia was capable of detecting whether she was lying.

Although even if she lied now, Olivia would not do anything severe—at most causing her some stomach pain—the system had clearly stated that sincerity was essential. If she lied, her favorability would undoubtedly decrease.

To be honest, the earlier tasks had been relatively simple. Feeding her and similar actions required little effort. But at this stage, Ying Su found herself completely lacking motivation. After all, who would genuinely feel interested in a mass of liquid?

“System, do you have any private photos of her? Give me something to boost my motivation.”

[As a high-level vampire, Olivia can freely alter her appearance.]

“Wait, so that means you do have them, right? Boss, come on—give me a few good-looking ones. Otherwise, I seriously have no motivation at all.”
