“Sh–Shatter-Bone Princess, this is a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding—”
The Flying Wheel Gang’s leader tried to beg for mercy, but before he could finish, Yuriko stomped down with one foot and knocked him unconscious on the spot.
“It’s too late to beg now.”
Yuriko turned around, looking at the freed underlings, and shouted, “Same as usual. Go block the exits.”
“Yes, Big Sister!”
As Lao Si was about to leave, Yuriko called him back.
“Big Sister, any orders?”
“Go to the supermarket and buy some snacks. Enough for about two people. Go on.”
“Got it, Big Sister.”
After Lao Si also left, Yuriko looked at the members of the Flying Wheel Gang and cracked her knuckles.
Everyone in the Flying Wheel Gang had heard of the Shatter-Bone Princess, but for most of them, it was just a legend. With so many people here, they might not necessarily lose!
“Defeating all the gangs in the North District alone? If she were really that powerful, why stay in the underworld? Wouldn’t it be better to find a high-paying job—stable, well-paid, and respectable?”
“Flying Wheel Gang, I haven’t beaten you before. Perfect. I’ll use you to make an example, so other gangs won’t come looking for trouble later.”
She had rushed out in a hurry and forgotten to take her weapon from the wardrobe.
Yuriko stepped forward, walked to the gang leader’s motorcycle, and with a forceful pull, ripped off the hydraulic rod.
It wasn’t as handy as her usual mace, but it was more than enough to deal with this group.
The violent tearing sound sent chills down the spines of the Flying Wheel Gang members.
“She just… pulled it off like that?”
A burly man swallowed hard.
With the leader unconscious, he stepped forward.
“Brothers, don’t be afraid! She’s only one person. There are so many of us—one hit each, I don’t believe she can endure it!”
He grabbed a baseball bat and swung it with full force.
The bat cut through the air as it came crashing toward Yuriko’s head.
In response, Yuriko simply raised her hand.
That seemingly delicate palm closed around the fast-swinging bat, gripping it firmly.
“What?!”
The burly man tried to pull it back, but the bat didn’t budge in Yuriko’s hand.
“You don’t seem to understand. The North District is not a place you should come to.”
Cracks began to form under her immense grip, and the bat was crushed to pieces in her hand.
Faced with such overwhelming strength, even the toughest members of the Flying Wheel Gang didn’t dare step forward.
Yuriko took one step forward.
The surrounding gang members all took a step back in unison.
She stepped forward again, and they retreated again.
As Yuriko quickened her pace, the Flying Wheel Gang simply turned around and started running.
“Tch, what are you running for? Stand right there!”
Yuriko dashed forward, catching people and knocking them down with a single punch each.
“Damn it! Run faster! That woman is catching up!”
“Ahhh—my leg is broken!”
“Ah, damn it, I want to go home!”
…
Inside Yuriko’s bedroom, Carmilla sat gracefully on the bed.
She looked at Phantom in front of her.
After several failed attempts to communicate, she finally gave up trying to interact with it.
This cat was really aloof—it only got close to Yuriko.
After sitting for a long time, even Carmilla couldn’t maintain her ladylike posture and lay down on the bed.
“It’s already been fifteen minutes. Why isn’t Ruri back yet?”
Carmilla muttered to herself.
She turned her head and looked at the large teddy bear on the bed, reaching out to touch it.
“Hm?”
Carmilla suddenly sat up.
She crawled closer to the teddy bear and picked up a strand of black hair from it.
Seeing that strand of hair, Phantom instantly stopped feeling sleepy.
“Isn’t that my hair? How did Carmilla find it?”
“A girl’s hair? Why would there be this on Ruri’s bed?”
She held the strand between her fingers and gently sniffed it.
“A young and beautiful girl… Could it be that someone else lives here?”
“Meow?”
“How can you tell that just by smelling it, meow?”
Carmilla searched the bed for a while and found several more strands of hair.
The shorter pink hair clearly belonged to Yuriko.
But whose was this long black hair?
There were so many strands, which meant this girl also slept on Yuriko’s bed at night.
“What was their relationship?”
If they were living together, then the best way to confirm it would be…
Carmilla walked to Yuriko’s wardrobe and reached out to open it.
“Meow!”
Phantom blocked the wardrobe, trying to stop her.
“Don’t open it, don’t open it, meow!”
“Hmm? Do you want to play with me? Sorry, I’ll play with you later, okay?”
Carmilla pushed Phantom aside and opened the wardrobe.
Inside were Yuriko’s daily clothes—but they were the clothes she wore as Latia.
There were hardly any dresses.
The style was bold and flashy, nothing like a normal girl’s wardrobe.
It looked more like something a rebellious street girl would wear.
“Th–These… are all clothes Ruri usually wears?”
Carmilla felt a bit embarrassed.
Among more than a dozen outfits, only two were relatively normal.
The rest looked like something gang members would wear.
But that couldn’t be possible.
“Yuriko was such a beautiful and gentle girl—how could she be part of a gang?”
She tried to open the other side of the wardrobe.
This time, Phantom still blocked the door, even standing up and stretching its limbs to block it completely.
“You really can’t open this side, meow! Stop it, meow!”
“Sorry, just wait a little longer.”
Thinking Phantom wanted to be held, Carmilla picked it up and placed it on the bed.
When she opened the other side of the wardrobe, the clothes there were clearly one size smaller than Yuriko’s.
The style was much more feminine—mostly dresses, along with many cute and girlish accessories.
Seeing these clothes that clearly didn’t belong to Yuriko, Carmilla’s suspicion was confirmed.
Someone really was living together with Yuriko.
No wonder there were two pairs of slippers at the entrance, and a scent in the room that didn’t belong to Yuriko…
“It’s just living together… just living together…”
Carmilla told herself.
“But why would they sleep in the same bed?”
“Could they actually be lovers…”
Carmilla didn’t want to think further.
She was about to close the wardrobe when she noticed a stick in the corner.
She pulled it out and realized it was a metal mace covered with sharp spikes—a clearly dangerous weapon.
The moment she saw the mace, Carmilla’s mind went blank as she tried to process why such a dangerous object would be in Yuriko’s home.
