Chapter 13: Xing Lian’s Worry

Although she didn’t know what place she truly held in Fei’s heart, the woman seemed to respect her wishes.

If she had resisted fiercely, she surely wouldn’t have been bullied so many times.

However, instead of resisting, she had maintained a submissive attitude. 

Precisely because of this, Fei had become increasingly bold.

Xing Lian realized she had made a mistake, but changing her attitude was a difficult task. 

Having never been loved by anyone, Xing Lian was desperate for affection; if someone showed her even a sliver of kindness, she felt the urge to return it tenfold.

Aside from the bullying, Fei was obedient to her every whim. 

She provided her with food, clothing, and meticulous care. 

Xing Lian truly didn’t know how to refuse her!

“Little cutie, I’m back! I bought you new clothes and shoes. Put them on quickly and see if they fit.”

Fei walked into the Stone Chamber excitedly.

Yes, a Stone Chamber.

Over the past one month, besides bullying and caring for Xing Lian, Fei had not forgotten her other tasks. 

The previous Mountain Cave had been renovated into a Stone Chamber, its floor covered in soft, furry blankets.

“More clothes? I don’t want to wear them.”

Xing Lian sat on a stone stool, turning her head away in resistance.

The dress she had been wearing when she crossed over had long since been ruined after being bullied so many times. 

Fei had bought Xing Lian clothes before, and she had been happy at first, but every outfit failed to last more than two days. 

This left her completely speechless.

Since they were just going to be torn off anyway, it was better not to wear anything at all.

“You can’t go without clothes. It wouldn’t be good if you caught a cold. Be good… let me dress you.”

Ignoring Xing Lian’s refusal, Fei pulled her into her arms, took off her small dress, and changed her into the new one.

“How is it? Does the new dress fit? Is it comfortable? This is made of Ice Silkworm Silk. It’s warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and it costs a fortune.”

Xing Lian didn’t know what Ice Silkworm Silk was, but she figured it must be a high-end material. 

It felt light as a feather and truly comfortable.

“It’s not bad,” Xing Lian said, nodding as she pinched the fabric of the skirt.

“Hehe, I’m glad you like it. Besides the clothes, I also bought you shoes.”

After saying that, Fei took her hand, led her to the bed to sit down, and knelt on one knee on the floor. 

She held one of Xing Lian’s snow-white feet in one hand while holding a sock in the other, slipping it over her full, translucent toes.

Once the snow-white cotton socks were pulled up over both feet, Fei finally put the shoes on her.

Since she had transmigrated to this world, her feet had always been bare. 

Suddenly wearing shoes and socks gave Xing Lian a sense of being restrained, and she found it difficult to adjust. 

However, more than the physical discomfort, something else piqued her curiosity.

Because she was blind and had no shoes, she couldn’t run around easily. 

Keeping her shoeless had been one of Fei’s ways of preventing her from escaping. 

Why was she suddenly giving her shoes now?

Fei had no idea what Xing Lian was thinking; if she did, she would have cried out in protest. 

The vast Jungle was mostly her territory, and with Xing Lian’s poor health and short legs, where could she possibly run? 

Fei wasn’t worried about her escaping at all.

The reason she hadn’t given her shoes before was simply because she felt they weren’t necessary. 

Xing Lian spent more than half of her day in bed, so there was no need to wear them. 

Besides, bare feet looked much better than shoes anyway.

Now, the reason she was giving Xing Lian shoes wasn’t because she was tired of looking at her feet, but because she wanted to take her for walks.

Fei was worried she would grow listless staying in the room all the time. 

Walking more would help her exercise, which was also for the sake of her future happiness.

Xing Lian didn’t know Fei’s plan. 

After putting on the shoes and socks, she tried to walk a bit and felt quite happy. 

Although she couldn’t see, the craftsmanship of the shoes and socks felt excellent. 

Thinking about the beautiful dress she was wearing, Xing Lian became even more curious about this world.

“What does this world look like? Is the nearest city far away? What is it like in town?” Xing Lian asked curiously.

Hearing this, Fei pursed her lips and brushed her off with a few vague words. 

When Xing Lian tried to ask more, Fei blocked her words with a kiss.

“Don’t be curious about such trivial matters.”

In the past, Fei lived in the Jungle and didn’t enter cities because she disliked crowds and was too lazy to socialize; she was a total homebody. 

Now, she didn’t enter cities because she couldn’t.

The little girl was too beautiful, leaving an unforgettable impression on anyone who saw her, just like the Elves from fairy tales and legends. 

If she took the little one into town, what if someone tried to snatch her?

Although she possessed significant strength, there were too many powerful experts in this world. 

She wasn’t certain she could protect the girl after exposing her. 

If she carelessly lost her wife, Fei would surely die of regret.

‘Trivial? Is that really true? It seems like she’s changing the subject,’ Xing Lian thought while gasping for air. 

She opened her mouth to speak, but her attention was caught by Fei’s next words.

“Little cutie, am I seeing things? Your little belly is bulging. It seems quite a bit larger than before.”

‘A bulging belly? Larger than before?’ Xing Lian was stunned.

Ever since she had learned that there were no men in this world and that girls could have children with other girls, she had been uneasy, fearing she might get pregnant. 

Fei’s sudden comment sent a shiver through her body.

‘Is my stomach really bigger? Could I be pregnant? No, anything but that!’

Xing Lian nervously touched her lower abdomen. 

It was soft and fleshy; it did seem a bit larger.

‘No way… am I really pregnant? Is there a little cub inside me?’

Xing Lian was so nervous she was on the verge of tears.

Seeing this, Fei looked curious and asked, “Little cutie, what’s wrong? You look so pale. You just gained a little weight; there’s no need to be so upset, is there?”

‘Fat? Just a little fat?’

Xing Lian looked at her blankly and asked, “I… I just got fat?”

Her voice was soft and sweet, carrying a hint of uncertainty.

“What else? What did you think happened?” Fei asked back in surprise.

“I… I…”

Xing Lian bit her lip and remained silent. 

She didn’t dare voice her concerns. 

She didn’t even want to mention the word pregnancy but not asking wasn’t an option either. 

What if she really had hit the mark?

Just as Xing Lian wanted to ask about how girls got pregnant and had children, Fei began rambling about something else.

“Little cutie, you do nothing but eat and sleep every day. While I don’t mind and can support you forever, such a lifestyle isn’t good for your health. How about we go for walks more often from now on?”

“A walk? Okay.”

Xing Lian touched the soft flesh on her belly and nodded shyly.

Going for walks was a good idea. 

Without a radio, she really couldn’t stand staying inside; she was about to go stir-crazy. 

Furthermore, there was another benefit to leaving the cave: Fei couldn’t possibly do that to her out in the middle of nowhere…

An image flashed through Xing Lian’s mind, and her face couldn’t help but redden.

Fei pulled Xing Lian into her arms and toyed with her small hands, feeling extremely satisfied with her submissiveness.
