Noah was very satisfied with this experiment.
She had eliminated various possibilities for the password, determined the upper limit of errors for the password lock, learned that reaching the error limit would not trigger the so-called explosives, and also confirmed that destroying the password lock would cause nothing to happen.
After seeing Noah’s actions, the crowd that had just been in chaos immediately quieted down.
This eerie scene lasted for several seconds before Greed raised his hand and commanded loudly,
“All members of the Sin Organization! Attack! Kill this liar!”
Greed’s guts were practically twisting in regret.
He had been fantasizing about how he would expand his power after leaving the research institute, and now all he could do was vent his rage on this liar.
He glared fiercely at Noah, who was wiping her blade opposite him, and gave orders to Ouruola.
“[Envy]! This is all your fault, you traitor! If you don’t want me to tear you apart, then get in there and kill her!”
No one answered.
Greed glanced behind him in confusion, then shouted in exasperation, “Envy! Where the hell are you?!”
Ouruola had already run off.
She knew Noah would pull some crazy stunt, so she had vanished the moment she entered the wrong password for the ninth time.
“Bastard! Don’t let me catch you!” Greed was half-dead with rage at Ouruola, but going after her now wasn’t realistic.
He looked at Fen Nu and Se Yu, who were still groaning on the ground, and in two steps reached their side.
He grabbed them both and yanked them up, shaking them as he roared,
“Stop playing dead! That liar has completely cut off our escape! I order you to chop her into mincemeat! Now! Immediately!”
Se Yu blinked first. Once he understood what was happening, he immediately shook his head.
“I’m not going! I could never raise a blade against my pure and beautiful goddess! Ah~ Goddess, I am willing to be your loyal servant. Please step on me, step on me!”
“F* off!” Greed flung Se Yu away with one hand, then charged into the battle alongside Fen Nu.
By now, Noah had already killed four or five people.
Leveraging the advantage of this long blade, these ordinary failed products without even proper weapons couldn’t get near her.
Since Pride and Daiduo had little combat ability, the Sin Organization couldn’t defeat Noah anytime soon.
Fen Nu shrugged his shoulders; he could even feel his ribs moving with the motion.
It was clear Greed’s kick had been no light blow.
Since Mao Nv hadn’t repaired his weapon, Fen Nu could only charge at Noah with the remnants of his giant blade.
Noah had been ready for him. In her eyes, only three people on the field posed a threat: [Greed], [Fen Nu], and [Baoshi], who hadn’t shown herself yet.
As for the other high-ranking members, Daiduo looked like a little girl who could teleport, Se Yu had some mental issue and refused to attack her, and Pride was just a frail scholar.
But Noah didn’t think she could defeat these dozens of people on her own.
In terms of combat ability, Greed alone could kill her.
That’s why she had kept one bullet in her pistol, ready to commit suicide and Return if things went wrong.
Yet from beginning to end, Greed showed no intention of joining the fight.
Maybe he enjoyed commanding others, or maybe he thought Noah wasn’t worth his effort.
After exchanging a few rounds with Fen Nu, Noah realized that while Fen Nu looked intimidating, he was just swinging wildly with brute force.
Noah dodged one of Fen Nu’s attacks, seized an opening, and cleaved him in half with the long blade.
Noah kicked Fen Nu’s upper body away. Internal organs and blood splattered across the floor with the gush.
The ordinary members of the Sin Organization were startled by Noah’s ferocity and for a moment, no one dared step forward.
Greed showed no sadness over Fen Nu’s death.
Instead, he clapped lightly. He bent down, grabbed Fen Nu by the neck, and lifted his upper body.
Blood cascaded like a waterfall onto Greed’s feet.
He spoke to Noah in an admiring tone,
“Incredible, truly incredible…” Though Greed was smiling, everyone knew he was furious.
Greed ground his teeth and pronounced a death sentence on Noah.
“But next, you’ll die even worse than him!”
With that, Greed let out a long whistle.
He threw Fen Nu’s corpse into a corner near the main gate, then shouted in the tone of a beast tamer summoning a wild animal,
“Come! Time to eat, [Baoshi]!”
Following Greed’s voice, several red tentacles stretched out from the corner.
These tentacles caught the half-corpse in midair and dragged it under a red cloth where they were hiding.
Then the sound of teeth-grinding mastication began.
The tearing of flesh and cracking of bones were relentless.
In moments, Baoshi had devoured Fen Nu’s half-corpse clean.
“Apologies. My companion isn’t very particular about table manners. Don’t mind her…” Greed finally saw a look of shock on Noah’s face.
He said delightedly, “How about you become her after-dinner dessert?”
Noah watched the writhing red tentacles and felt a wave of nausea.
She turned her gaze back to Greed and pointed the blade at him.
“No need…”
Before she finished speaking, Noah had already charged forward, intending to attack Greed directly.
But she had overestimated her own strength.
In her imagination, wielding the long blade, even if she couldn’t defeat Greed, she could at least force him back.
In reality, Greed dodged her attack at an almost imperceptible speed, then grabbed her wrist and crushed her joint.
In a single exchange, Greed had disarmed Noah. As Noah looked on in shock, Greed lifted her arm and threw her against the opposite wall with a shoulder toss.
The immense impact made Noah spit blood, and she nearly collapsed.
She struggled to lift her head and watched Greed fiddling with the long blade.
“Good blade…” Greed swung it a few times and immediately recognized its exceptional quality.
“But this isn’t your blade, is it? No technique, no strength—just relying on your foolish confidence, you dared to pick up someone else’s weapon and come here to swindle us?! Very well, you really are something… Because of your stupidity, none of us can escape now!”
The more Greed spoke, the more agitated he became.
He flung the long blade, pinning Noah to the wall with the tip.
Noah looked at the blade stuck in her chest, then gave Greed a wry smile.
From start to finish, she didn’t utter a single groan. Every time she experienced Death Return, the pain was several times stronger than this.
She had long stopped caring.
“Good… you’re tough enough… But now comes the real show.” Greed saw Noah’s reaction and, instead of getting angry, smiled.
He looked toward Baoshi and commanded, “Baoshi, the after-dinner dessert is here. Go eat her!”
