Top-tier salted-fish person Filo displayed her salted-fish skills to the fullest. You’d think, even if she’s hiding out in the forest, she’d at least need to make some furniture or prep some rations by hand. Nope, Filo chose to use one of her True Ancestor vampire skills: [Mind Manipulation].
If it’s her own kind, she can control them regardless of level. For non-kind, she can indirectly control them, with the number depending on the target’s level.
As Filo’s fingers twitched once, ten massive bears in the forest fell under her mind manipulation. One by one, they smashed giant trees with their fists, then used their huge bear bodies to act as modern-day Lubans.
Tables, chairs, bowls, cups… these delicate pieces of furniture were born from bear paws. Meanwhile, Filo, the biggest beneficiary, was lying on the first completed piece of furniture—a recliner—dozing off.
“Not hot, not cold, just-right breeze, fresh air, faint chirping of birds. Who says I can’t be a salted fish? I’m totally salted-fishing just fine, ha~ so sleepy~” Filo mumbled, letting out a heavy yawn. Lying on the folding recliner, she gradually fell asleep.
This nap? Filo slept straight through three whole days. Maybe she was too tired, maybe she was too lazy, or maybe because her body’s a vampire now. But one thing’s for sure—this sleep was sweet.
While Filo was snoozing those three days, the vampire clan worldwide went into a frenzy.
They sensed the True Ancestor’s aura. Sure, it was super faint, not even enough to pinpoint a direction, but still, they could feel it!
“Oh my god, I actually sensed the True Ancestor’s aura! The True Ancestor’s back!”
“Hahaha, with a True Ancestor, who’ll our vampire clan fear in this world? Hurry, hurry, find the True Ancestor!”
“But… we have classes today…”
“Classes my ass! Hurry and find the True Ancestor! If we find her, forget one person—our whole vampire clan won’t need classes, instant graduation!” a vampire teacher roared, head held high with excitement.
“Got it!!!”
Vampires across the world unanimously dropped whatever they were doing, sensing Filo’s aura and starting their search. Other races couldn’t relate to the frenzy but were still shocked by it.
The vampire clan’s True Ancestor appeared?
Holy crap, that’s huge!
Vampires without a True Ancestor were already ridiculously strong. With one, wouldn’t they jump straight to T0 race status?
The whole world fell into “chaos.” Some races schemed on how to suppress the vampires, others on how to cozy up to them.
Either way, people’s attitudes toward vampires clearly shifted. That’s the difference a king makes in a race.
A global trend to find the True Ancestor swept up, fueled by the vampires’ massive bounty. Not just vampires—dwarves, demons, and other races were hunting for the True Ancestor too.
Meanwhile, Filo, the True Ancestor herself, was sprawled on her wooden recliner, sleeping soundly. In her dreams, she nailed the salted-fish life in this world.
No one found her, nothing disrupted her salted-fish vibe. She lived carefree, hands-out-for-clothes, mouth-open-for-food, like a total deadbeat salted-fish daily routine.
“Mmm… thanks… goddess…” Filo mumbled in her sleep, then flipped over.
While Filo slept, her mind control kept going. Bears wielded saws, crack crack crack, making wooden furniture.
Some bears chopped wood, some cut branches, some made small wooden parts, others specialized in assembling parts into furniture.
Clear division of labor, professional team!
In just a few days, Filo’s villa was fully decked out. All wooden, sure, but the furniture crafted by bears was top-notch and surprisingly gorgeous.
Filo spent this time sleeping, eating, eating, sleeping. When the weather was nice, she’d stroll through the forest. Life was pure bliss.
One day, Filo saw the weather was great and walked out of the villa, wanting to “shop around” the forest.
With a light snap of her fingers, bears rushed out from all directions, standing on two legs at Filo’s left and right sides.
The forest had tons of animals, but bears standing on two legs? Definitely one of the forest’s overlords. Maybe they couldn’t beat lions or tigers, but bears had their own edge.
Other forest animals saw this pack of bears and didn’t dare make a move—not even to test the waters.
Filo gently rubbed her eyes, about to take her first step forward, when she suddenly froze.
She slowly tilted her head up to the sky. Two massive figures banged out from the clouds, colliding midair at high speed.
Bang! Bang! Bang!!!
“Are those… two dragons?” Filo muttered, dumbfounded, head tilted up. In the sky, two colossal creatures—an ice-blue dragon and a fiery-red dragon.
Aside from their colors, they were nearly identical.
Each collision whipped up fierce gusts. Some forest trees were uprooted by the wind, and smaller animals literally took flight.
Filo’s villa, sturdy as it was, was still wood. Facing this gale, it started swaying, creaking crack crack crack. The villa’s door was blown loose, whooshing free from its “bonds” into the sky. Other parts teetered on the edge.
Filo’s face darkened at the sight. This house took her a whole day to build, painstakingly, and you jerks dare…
Filo shot her head up to the sky. The ice dragon and red dragon were still attacking each other, energy gathering in their mouths for blasts.
“Go to hell! Scram!” The dragons roared, ice blasts and molten lava charging in their mouths. Right as they were about to fire, Filo’s figure suddenly appeared between them.
“Both of you, stop it!” Red threads appeared in Filo’s hands, whooshing to instantly wrap around both dragons.
With a forceful toss, Filo sent the dragons—wings useless—banging to the ground some distance from the villa, blasting two huge craters at the forest’s edge.
“I don’t care about you fighting, but you dare try to wreck my house? Believe it or not, I’ll tear you both apart!” Filo landed beside the dragons, head high, face cold and menacing.
The dragons, dumbfounded and trembling, had no clue what Filo was saying, but one thing they knew…
This “loli” was ridiculously strong!!!
