Shu Yue turned and ran the moment she threw that alchemy potion.
If she didn’t run, she was afraid all her fur would be singed off.
She really didn’t want to suddenly go from youthful to overly mature.
As she turned and ran, Shu Yue’s face was full of delight.
At this moment, she had a very strange feeling, like in her previous life when she lit a big firecracker and tossed it into someone’s window.
The thought of what was about to happen excited her immensely.
And just less than a second after she started running, the alchemy potion emitted a bright light.
This time, however, the light was different from before.
Though still somewhat dazzling, it wasn’t intense enough to bleach the surrounding space white.
But what accompanied its spread was an incredibly terrifying wave of heat.
Not far away, the Knight Princess, still sitting on the ground rubbing her eyes, heard Shu Yue’s fierce-yet-cute shout and tried hard to open her eyes wide to look.
She then saw Shu Yue turn and run.
Emily saw Shu Yue throw something, thinking it was another one of those glowing potions.
She hurriedly shielded her eyes with her arm, blocking the direct glare of the bright light.
At the same time, she heard a buzzing sound.
Like something was resonating…
Then came a fierce blast of hot wind that swept over her, nearly blowing her backward.
It felt like standing before a massive bonfire, with the wind blowing from the other side.
She cracked her arm open just a slit and saw a terrifying sight: the entire neck and head of the Darkgold Dragonbeast had turned into an orange-red fireball!
By now, Shu Yue had already run to Emily’s side.
She covered Emily’s mouth with one hand.
She did this to prevent Emily from breathing.
The air had been heated; breathing now would scorch the lungs, a feeling that was far from pleasant.
Emily, after all, had meant well, even if she’d messed things up.
Shu Yue wouldn’t hold a grudge or seek revenge against her for that.
With one hand covering Emily’s mouth and the other arm wrapped around her waist, Shu Yue pulled Emily behind a massive Gray Giant Pine that had been snapped by the Darkgold Dragonbeast, shielding them from the direct impact of the scorching heat wave.
The thermal surge created a shockwave that spread through the forest at incredible speed.
The ground immediately around the Darkgold Dragonbeast instantly turned scorched brown, and nearby trees began to smolder, faint sparks starting to appear.
The needle-like leaves high up on the trees quickly dehydrated and withered under the high temperature.
Fortunately, the Gray Giant Pines were tall and large, their foliage far from the orange fireball, so they weren’t directly ignited by the hot wind.
Shu Yue really didn’t want to start a forest fire.
That would be too wicked.
Besides, most of the energy released by that potion was actually absorbed by the Darkgold Dragonbeast’s head, consuming a great deal to dissolve and vaporize its flesh and bone.
That’s why the orange fireball was only about three meters in diameter.
This little sun, three meters across, lasted only a little over a second.
Soon, the materials in the alchemy potion were exhausted.
With no follow-up energy to replenish it, the orange fireball collapsed back in the blink of an eye, leaving behind the charred corpse of the Darkgold Dragonbeast.
Shu Yue was well aware of the potion’s duration.
After pushing away Emily, who seemed to want to hug her, she peeked out from behind the tree trunk for a look.
When she saw that charred corpse, her heart bled.
Not only had she used two incredibly expensive alchemy potions, but the remaining corpse was also significantly damaged.
She just hoped the Dragon Blood wasn’t diminished too much.
After waiting a short while, Shu Yue decided not to wait any longer.
She braved the residual heat and walked towards the scorched corpse.
Emily’s eyes were still red and teary.
She crawled a couple of steps on the ground before scrambling to her feet, wanting to chase after Shu Yue.
But the residual heat prevented her from getting close.
As a human, even with a physique strengthened by Magic Power, she couldn’t withstand high temperatures.
The reason Shu Yue could walk out was because she was currently in her Dragon Maiden Transformation state, with high resistance to temperature.
Shu Yue paid no attention to Emily.
She quickly walked to the side of the Darkgold Dragonbeast’s corpse, activating the Fire Calling Method and the Star Tempering Art.
She intended to use her last bit of Spirituality to refine this Magic Beast corpse.
This wasn’t something that might overdraw her soul; it would definitely overdraw her soul.
But Shu Yue had no other choice.
The Dragon Blood from the Darkgold Dragonbeast absolutely could not be abandoned.
Even at the cost of soul damage, she had to get it.
Eustia’s appearance had made Shu Yue understand that she must grow stronger faster.
Only when she herself was sufficiently powerful could she truly control her own destiny!
Risking the danger of overdrawing her spirit and causing soul damage, Shu Yue poured all her effort into operating the Star Tempering Art.
Silver Fire transformed into a small white flower, planted upon the scorched corpse, quickly spreading out.
Shu Yue endured the headache brought on by her Spirituality hitting rock bottom, glancing at the Darkgold Dragonbeast corpse’s tail.
That tail blade looked pretty good.
Pioneers in the Outlands would disassemble Magic Beast corpses, taking out parts that could be used to make weapons and armor to sell or barter.
She had spent some time in the Outlands, been a Pioneer herself, so she naturally knew about this.
A short sword flew from her hand, severing the connection point between the tail and the tail blade, breaking their integrity.
This way, the Star Tempering Art wouldn’t burn the tail blade.
Shu Yue kept it for a purpose.
The Silver Fire covered and enveloped the entire corpse, tearing apart this massive Magic Beast carcass in a very short time, finally extracting a cluster of golden threads.
Shu Yue took out the bottle for holding Dragon Blood, gathering these threads into droplets.
When she saw that it was more than a full drop of blood, she couldn’t help but stare in surprise.
She had originally thought the Dragon Blood dropped by the Darkgold Dragonbeast would be plentiful, but she never expected it to be this much!
It seemed this Dragonbeast had hunted many Sub-dragons.
The reason its strength was still only at the early stages of Tier 2 was probably because it hadn’t fully fused all this Dragon Blood.
The Darkgold Dragonbeast still clearly resembled a panther in form.
Sub-dragons and Dragonbeasts containing more Dragon Blood would look more and more like the legendary ancient dragons.
Shu Yue carefully stored the Dragon Blood back into the small pouch at her waist.
She intended to leave this place immediately.
The commotion just now was huge.
People would soon come to investigate.
At that point, it would be hard for her to explain her identity.
The value of a beautiful Heteromorph female was very high.
She also couldn’t dispel her current bloodline manifestation yet; it would take several more hours before she could revert to human form.
She turned and had just taken a step when she swayed unsteadily, almost falling.
Emily had, at some point, arrived at Shu Yue’s side, reaching out to support the slender, soft waist of the Dragon Maiden girl.
Feeling that softness on the Dragon Maiden girl’s body, Emily actually felt a flicker of inappropriate desire, wanting to knead and touch it to experience that stunning sensation.
But reason made her stop.
Emily realized Shu Yue’s Spirituality was severely overdrawn, to the point where even free movement had become difficult.
Right now, she couldn’t resist her at all.
Yet, Emily still suppressed the desire in her heart.
She is beautiful and adorable, and I really want to have her…
But keeping her confined in a cage is wrong.
“Don’t be afraid, little sister. I’ll take you away from here!”
“……”
This time, Shu Yue did not push her away again.
Her Spirituality was completely depleted.
The only reason Shu Yue hadn’t fainted was due to the robust physique of her Dragon Maiden form, combined with her inherently strong soul.
