Weiwei finished her bath, changed, and came out.
This time she was fully dressed, afraid of being teased by Keliya again.
Soon after, Keliya also emerged from the bathroom.
Fresh from her bath, she looked refreshed, with a trace of moisture at the ends of her hair, softer than usual.
Weiwei glanced up, then immediately looked away.
For some reason, she felt a bit uncomfortable.
Keliya noticed her small movement and the corners of her mouth lifted slightly.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
Weiwei denied it immediately.
Jun Yisha sat to the side, watching their interaction with a gratified smile.
“All right, it’s getting late. You two should rest.”
“Got it.”
Weiwei was about to leave, but Keliya grabbed her wrist.
“Wait.”
“What now?”
“There’s something I need to discuss.”
Keliya pulled Weiwei back into the room.
Once the door closed, the room fell silent.
Weiwei looked at her warily.
“What is it, exactly?”
“About Jun Yisha.”
“Auntie?”
“She seems to think we get along really well.”
Weiwei was taken aback.
Thinking about it, that did seem to be the case.
From meals to conversations, Jun Yisha had been treating them like close friends.
“So?”
“So tonight, we need to cooperate a little.”
“Cooperate how?”
Keliya sighed.
“At least don’t start bickering the moment we meet.”
“Who’s bickering with you?”
“See? We’re bickering right now.”
Weiwei was momentarily speechless.
It really did seem that way.
Keliya sat down on the edge of the bed.
“In short, just act natural tonight.”
“Act natural?”
“That’s right.”
“Like what?”
“Like normal conversation, normal interaction. Don’t act like enemies.”
Weiwei puffed out her cheeks.
“Who’s your enemy?”
“Then it’s easy.”
“Easy how?”
“At least it proves we still have room for communication.”
Weiwei glared at her.
But Keliya couldn’t help laughing.
“What are you laughing at?”
“Nothing. I just think you’re interesting.”
“I’m not interesting at all!”
“Fine, fine.”
Keliya raised her hands in surrender.
The room fell quiet again.
A moment later.
A sound came from next door as the light was turned off.
Jun Yisha seemed ready to sleep.
Weiwei instinctively lowered her voice.
“What now?”
“Sleep.”
“That simple?”
“What else?”
Keliya spread her hands.
“You weren’t planning to rehearse your acting all night, were you?”
Weiwei’s face flushed red.
“Who’s rehearsing!”
“Then let’s sleep.”
“Fine, we’ll sleep.”
They glared at each other.
Then each lay down on their side of the bed.
The room gradually grew quiet.
Outside the window, the night was deep.
Occasionally a breeze rustled the curtains.
Weiwei turned her back to Keliya, thinking she wouldn’t be able to fall asleep.
But before long, drowsiness crept in.
Half-asleep, she heard a soft voice behind her.
“Good night.”
Weiwei paused for a moment.
A moment later, she replied softly:
“Good night.”
The room returned to silence.
