Noah finally understood: names and identities were meaningless.
If she couldn’t escape this research institute, endless death awaited her!
Noah felt her mind gradually clear.
She looked up at Gexiusi across from her and firmly pulled out her Tarot Deck.
“It seems… there’s nothing left to say…”
After seeing Noah calm down, Naya nodded in satisfaction.
He directed the group to tighten the encirclement and pointed his cane at Gelawei.
“Return Yoge to us, or you will suffer a punishment worse than death!”
Hearing Naya’s threat, Gexiusi paid no heed.
He waved his hand, and a surgery table behind him rose at a 45-degree angle.
On it was bound a golden-haired man, eyes closed, barely breathing, as if on the verge of death.
This was Yoge, a believer of the Spirit of the Universe, but now he had been tortured beyond recognition.
Upon seeing Yoge, Shabu immediately became agitated.
She bared her mouth, waving her tentacles and roaring at Gelawei.
“Yoge â– â– â– , the universe’s believer…”
Gexiusi glanced at Yoge, his eyes filled with madness.
“The darling of space and time… his power is nearly omnipotent! But you mediocre talents only thought to use spatial power to leave here—what a waste of a gift!”
Naya calmed Shabu and signaled the group to launch a full assault.
Xin took the lead, raising her blade and charging at Gexiusi.
A sniper rifle bullet whistled toward Xin’s face, but only grazed her hair and struck the wall behind.
Startled, Xin quickly retreated.
She looked up at Ska, who stood up from the corner, and roared angrily.
“Damn it! You again?! What exactly are you trying to do?!”
This time Ska used real bullets, even blasting a large hole in the wall behind.
But he seemed to have deliberately aimed off—otherwise that shot would have blown Xin’s head off.
Ska pulled a bright red sniper rifle bullet from his pocket, loaded it into the magazine, and smiled at Xin.
“Don’t rush, Miss Kitty. The show hasn’t even started yet.”
The “show” he mentioned was probably Gelawei’s Ascension to Godhood plan.
Xin didn’t know what this ascension entailed, but she quickly shouted to the group,
“Scatter! All of you scatter! His main target is me. You guys break through quickly and kill that lunatic first!”
After seeing Ska aim again, Gexiusi waved his hand to stop him.
“Ska, stand by. It’s time for these mortals to feel what divine power really is…”
Ska was startled for a moment, then immediately nodded.
“Yes… Great Leader…”
After seeing Ska disappear again, Gexiusi rolled his shoulders.
He straightened up and placed his hands over his chest.
The dozen or so members kneeling below stood up in sync with Gexiusi’s movements.
Vast divine power flashed across these members.
Gexiusi chanted loudly.
“Wisdom Divine Power… Thought Surge!”
Gexiusi’s body could not withstand such powerful Wisdom Divine Power.
Blood flowed from his seven orifices as he laughed maniacally and pointed at Noah.
All the New Truth members turned their heads in unison, like robots, and charged at the group with synchronized movements.
Noah immediately pulled out her Tarot Deck to counterattack, but then heard Gexiusi shout from behind.
“Flames… burn away the foolish mortals!”
In an instant, these New Truth members were engulfed in raging flames.
The metal-melting, iron-forging high-temperature fire immediately broke the encirclement of the Primordial Organization.
No one dared approach these fire men; the slightest mistake could reduce them to ashes.
Xin swung her katana, dodging the New Truth members’ charges while counterattacking, but these fire men seemed to feel no pain.
Even with arms cut off and legs severed, they didn’t stop.
The scene was momentarily chaotic.
Noah quickly unfolded her Moon Card and scattered Star Divine Power over the fire men.
“Freeze!”
The ultra-low temperature emitted by the Moon Card immediately restrained the fire men’s attacks.
Seeing the flames gradually extinguish, Gexiusi shouted again.
“Filth… I command you to curse all things!”
These New Truth members were charging forward one second, then the next they fell straight to the ground.
Countless black slime oozed from their bodies, enveloping the severed limbs and remains to gradually form slime-like monsters.
They seemed clumsy but moved extremely fast, leaving strong corrosive marks on the ground as they dragged themselves.
Everyone immediately knew not to touch these things and prepared to bypass the slimes to attack Gexiusi directly.
But before the Primordial Organization members could take a few steps, they suddenly felt their bodies go limp, as if something had drained their strength.
They couldn’t take another step.
The slimes caught up and devoured a dozen Primordial Organization members in moments.
Naya furrowed his brow, astonished as he watched Gexiusi wielding his divine power, and heard him devoutly shout.
“Plague… I welcome the root of calamity here!”
It was Plague Divine Power!
Naya’s face showed utter shock.
He suddenly had a terrifying thought: that Gexiusi could harness the power of all Twenty-Five Spirits!
As if to validate Naya’s thought, Gexiusi once again scattered the divine power he commanded.
Frost and flame appeared simultaneously in the area.
Weeds sprouted under his feet, life flourished.
Dense clouds gathered above everyone’s heads, and it began to rain indoors!
Wind from nowhere carried the raindrops, mud rose from the wet ground.
The originally glaring spotlight suddenly dimmed, flickered a few times, then brightened again.
Gexiusi freely wielded his divine power, as if he were the ruler of this area!
“Divine Legacy!”
Gexiusi laughed maniacally, as if conversing with a deity.
“Gaze upon me! If the essence of technology left no spark, then I will crown myself the Technology Spirit!”
Few members of the Primordial Organization remained.
Apart from the high-ranking members present, only a few Shagai Squad members were still fighting desperately.
Boundless divine power engulfed Noah like a wave, making it impossible for her to counterattack with Star Divine Power.
After seeing his masterpiece, Gexiusi took out the Tarot card that Ska had confiscated.
He raised the card high and shouted in a frenzied tone.
“Stars! O Stars! Grant me your gaze—watch me as I am about to step onto the Divine Path!”
Points of starlight merged into Gexiusi’s body.
At this point, Gexiusi had finally gathered all twenty-five types of divine power.
He laughed uproariously and shouted to the manager of the gods.
“Spirit of Dominion! Gaze upon me—! I shall—!”
Bang————————!
Gexiusi’s words didn’t even finish.
A sniper rifle bullet whistled through his head.
Gexiusi’s skull was blown to pieces.
Amidst the shocked gazes of the crowd, Ska stood up from the corner.
“Sorry… I got carried away…”
Ska looked seriously at Gexiusi’s headless corpse, then looked up at the crowd.
“Good thing he didn’t finish that shout… or we’d all be doomed.”
