After Gexiusi absorbed the Earth Divine Power, these slimes actually grew rock armor as well.
Naya summoned black tentacles to restrain them.
While leading everyone to dodge Gexiusi’s attacks, he quickly explained,
“I told you before, Gexiusi’s Ascension Plan will never succeed! His body can’t withstand such a large and chaotic amount of Divine Power, and in the end, he can only become a monster like this!”
Naya hated himself for miscalculating one step.
He said with self-reproach,
“But I didn’t expect he could turn into this form even after death. If I’d known, I should have ground his corpse to dust!”
“Alright, it’s useless to say anything else now!”
Noah used the Magician Card to summon various magical attacks against Gexiusi’s main body, but they were all blocked by its rock armor.
Noah looked up at the stone wall sealing the door, then shouted at Ska,
“Mr. Ska! Try to see if you can blast the rocks blocking the way with your sniper rifle!”
“I’ll try!”
Ska immediately loaded ammunition, raised his gun, and aimed at the stone wall blocking the path.
The Primordial Organization’s plan was to activate the Teleportation Array on the way back, not necessarily to fight Gexiusi to the death.
But after Ska fired several shots, even the sniper rifle was smoking, and the stone wall still showed no movement at all.
“No good! I’ve already used explosive rounds. This thing is impossible to penetrate with bullets!”
Xin chopped a slime in half with her hand, frowned, and looked at Ska.
“Try a few more times! How many bullets do you have left?”
“It’s fine, I can make more!”
Ska reached out, grabbed a surgical clamp from the table, and held it tightly in his hand.
A blazing flame flashed in Ska’s hand, and the clamp melted into a ball of molten iron.
“Forge!”
Using Flame Divine Power, Ska forged that surgical clamp into three explosive rounds.
He loaded all the bullets into the magazine, then aimed at the stone wall sealing the path again.
Gexiusi immediately noticed Ska preparing to destroy the stone wall.
He roared in fury, channeling Earth Divine Power to grow a cluster of sharp stone spikes on his fist.
Gexiusi swung his arm forcefully, throwing all those stone spikes at Ska.
Ska was aiming at the stone wall when an instinctual sense of danger made him look up at Gexiusi.
Upon seeing a cluster of spikes flying toward him like javelins, Ska immediately rolled to dodge Gexiusi’s attack.
He sidestepped left and right, dodging the spikes again and again.
But countless spikes rained down once more, gradually sealing off Ska’s escape route.
After one more backward leap, Gexiusi finally caught his landing point.
Ska had nowhere to run and stared in despair at the spikes flying toward him.
“Move!”
Noah slammed into Ska, pushing him out of the spike’s attack range.
Countless spikes pierced Noah like a pin cushion, instantly soaking her clothes with blood.
Ska stared in shock at the severely injured Noah, unable to believe she would risk her life to save someone she didn’t even know.
Did Noah have that kind of resolve?
Yes, but not much.
She knew that as long as she wasn’t hit in a vital spot, her recovery ability would keep her alive.
Besides, dying was just starting over; there was nothing to fear.
Noah pulled a stone spike out of her arm, frowning as she glanced back at Ska.
“Don’t just stand there! Keep attacking the stone wall! Don’t worry about me—I won’t die!”
Ska gritted his teeth hard.
While collecting metal objects from all over Zone D, he kept shooting at the stone wall.
Meanwhile, Naya dodged the stone spikes while returning to Noah’s side to treat her wounds.
His face full of heartache as he watched Noah’s wounds twitch and heal, his hatred for Gexiusi reached its peak.
“Blasphemous bastard, I will make sure you are obliterated!”
Naya raised his hand to gather Cosmic Divine Power, but Noah interrupted his casting.
He looked back at Noah in confusion, hearing her speak in a weak voice.
“I’m fine… Don’t waste your strength here. Escaping is what matters!”
Naya nodded.
While protecting Noah, he ran toward the corridor entrance.
Shabu had been holding Yoge the entire time without participating in the battle at all.
But Gexiusi didn’t care whether or not you attacked him.
He swung his rain of stone spikes, determined to nail everyone here.
One stone spike flew straight at Yoge.
Shabu was startled and quickly turned her body to block the strike.
The long spike pierced straight through Shabu’s body.
She let out a low growl, lifted her head, and glared at Gexiusi with extreme fury.
Countless tentacles began to dance wildly.
Shabu gently set down the Yoge in her arms.
She urged her tentacles to grab various weapons scattered on the ground.
Using her tentacles to wield the metal weapons, Shabu chopped at the oncoming spikes while crawling toward Gexiusi.
Shabu wanted to cut off Gexiusi’s arms!
Naya immediately understood her plan.
He urged his black tentacles to roll Yoge over, afraid that Yoge might be skewered by stray shots.
If Shabu went berserk because of Yoge’s death, the escape plan would be completely ruined.
When Gexiusi saw Shabu crawling toward him with her tentacles flailing, he immediately aimed all his spikes at her.
The weapons on Shabu’s tentacles moved with perfect defense, and the spikes couldn’t get near her.
Seeing that he couldn’t break through, Gexiusi reached out and grabbed a rock slime beside him, then threw it at Shabu like a shot put.
This slime was even a size larger than Shabu’s body.
She couldn’t dodge in time and was sent flying by the slime.
Gexiusi suddenly realized that throwing slimes seemed more effective, so he stopped creating spikes altogether.
He called the slimes to gather around him, then grabbed one and hurled it straight at Ska.
Ska’s stamina was already inferior to these close-combat specialists, and after fighting for so long, he was showing signs of fatigue.
While raising his sniper rifle, he struggled to dodge Gexiusi’s attacks.
Gexiusi seemed to know that Ska’s sniper rifle was the greatest threat to him, so he concentrated all his attacks on Ska.
Ska couldn’t dodge in time and was hit on one side by a rock slime.
The spherical slime sent Ska flying over ten meters, even his sniper rifle flying out of his hands.
Xin quickly leaped up and caught the gun.
She fiddled with it for a bit and realized she didn’t know how to use it at all.
She looked back in Ska’s direction and shouted,
“How the hell do you use this thing?”
“Cough, cough…!”
Ska crawled out of the pile of rocks, feeling like his ribs were about to break.
He coughed a few times first, then raised his head to reply toward Xin,
“Aim! Fire!”
“Might as well have said nothing!”
Xin yelled in exasperation.
She mimicked Ska’s posture, raised the gun, and aimed at Gexiusi.
The sniper bullet flew like a meteor and struck Gexiusi’s head, actually knocking him back several steps.
“Oh my god! That’s awesome!”
Xin marveled while examining the sniper rifle in her hands, feeling it was much easier to use than a long blade.
“Why are you hitting him! Hit the wall!”
Noah was furious, pulling out stone spikes from her body while shouting at Xin.
“You think you can kill him with that thing?! Break through the wall so we can escape!”
