“Surrender, surrender, no more fighting! You’re strong like a freaking monster~” Ye Lan raised both arms in defeat.
They’d agreed to spar lightly, not to fight to the death, but Filo was a bit miffed. She was in [Excited] mode, buzzing with energy. Still, she had no choice—her state was off, and going beyond a friendly spar could spell trouble.
Filo took a deep breath, then let it out heavily, eyeing the traveler Ye Lan, who was also looking at her.
“You and I seem like the same kind of person.”
“Huh? What’s that mean?”
Filo stared at Ye Lan, totally baffled by her words.
“Hehe, you’ll get it later. Fight’s over, so I’m hitting the road. I’m a traveler—exploring what this world looks like is way more fun than fighting!” Ye Lan grinned, her body floating lightly toward the direction behind Filo.
“Catch ya later!”
“Yeah, see ya.”
Filo glanced back at Ye Lan, who quickly vanished from her sight, her heart swirling with mixed feelings.
A god?
Level 999’s probably the world’s ceiling, right? So breaking past 999 likely means becoming a god (gods aren’t always strong, but they’ve got high authority). Should I try breaking through to level 1000 and become a god?
No, no, no! Why am I thinking this? Why would I want to be a god? That goddess was clearly a corporate slave, stuck in a run-down divine palace. Ugh… my salted-fish life’s perfect as is!
Filo stretched out both hands, clap clap clap, slapping her cheeks. Bad news—her Salted-Fish King resolve just wobbled a tiny bit. Not a good sign.
I gotta pull myself together. Even if I work hard, it’s gotta be for a better salted-fish future!
Yeah! Yeah! Almost got brainwashed—way too dangerous. Was that girl sent by the goddess to mess with my head? Gotta be careful from now on.
Filo nodded to herself, flying back to perch on Bingpo’s head. Bingpo and Chiyan looked at her excitedly. Even in her weakened state, Filo was stronger than them, so that half-finished fight seemed insanely intense to them.
“Master’s truly Master, just too awesome!”
“If that girl hadn’t surrendered, Master would’ve crushed her!”
“Master’s invincible! Master’s epic! Master’s explosive! Master’s sky-shattering!”
Bingpo and Chiyan’s pure, sincere flattery made Filo’s toes curl, nearly turning into diamond drills from embarrassment.
Stop hyping, stop hyping! You’re not praising Master—you’re killing Master!
“Let’s go, quick.” Filo said, face red.
“Got it! Got it!”
Bingpo and Chiyan spread their wings, speeding up. Maybe because of Filo and Ye Lan’s intense fight, they let loose, flying through the chaotic storm much faster than before.
With Filo around, they could afford to be bold. When in doubt, Filo’s got it covered. Forget chaotic storms—even strolling through the Dragon King’s harem… cough, that’s too rogue.
The two dragons zipped through the chaotic storm. Occasionally, “monsters” flashed by in everyone’s sight, but only briefly.
This was a safe route; monsters stayed outside its range. Unless you flipped them off and yelled, “Come at me!” they’d leave you alone…
Of course, the smooth flight wasn’t just because of the route. If your aura’s too weak in the chaotic storm, monsters ignore you. If it’s too terrifying, they also steer clear. Filo, in her [Excited] state, was radiating [99999++] combat power. Which monster would dare mess with her? They come, she’s thrilled—she was itching for a target to “de-stress” on.
The journey stayed smooth. Bingpo and Chiyan, at full speed, raced through the safe route toward the Dragon World. Soon, they saw the endpoint.
“Chiyan, break through!”
Chiyan surged ahead of Bingpo, extending her claws. Blazing flames coated her dragon claws. With a charged whoosh, she slashed at the chaotic storm ahead.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Two red claw marks sliced through, carving a hole in the storm. Chiyan rushed through, Bingpo right behind.
Filo’s vision blurred. The pitch-black surroundings transformed. Towering peaks pierced the clouds, dragons with spread wings zipped through the sky, and the air was extra fresh.
Filo turned into a curious baby, intrigued by everything.
“I’m gonna check it out!”
Filo thudded, leaping off Bingpo’s head. Blood-red wings sprouted behind her, and she flew down, landing swiftly.
Tap!
Filo landed lightly, her impact barely rustling nearby grass and flowers.
If this had a live chat, it’d be flooded with “Gaia: Zero points!” Compared to a certain earth-shatterer, Filo’s impact was negligible—well, she barely weighed 100 pounds.
Filo turned to look around. A small red flower caught her eye. Curious, she reached to pick it.
As her hand neared the flower, its petals split open, revealing a ferocious maw that chomped her finger.
Snap!
“Hm? This little thing bites?” Filo, puzzled, raised her bitten finger. The flower’s teeth clamped down, but they couldn’t pierce her skin.
Filo: Stare…
Flower: Whimper???
Crackle!
Flames erupted, instantly turning the flower to ash.
“Hm, not bad teeth for a little guy, but my skin’s a bit thick~” Filo rubbed her bitten finger with another.
The next moment, Bingpo and Chiyan landed with a rush.
“Master!” “Master!”
“Well, looks like this Dragon World’s gonna be more fun than I thought.” Filo turned to the horizon. At that moment, somewhere in the Dragon World, a dragon’s eyes snapped open…
