“Orlando.”

Zijiang’s voice was very light.

“I see.”

She paused.

“You’re Olivia, then.”

Olivia opened her mouth.

Her silver pupils looked at Zijiang.

“Mm.”

The corner of Olivia’s mouth twitched.

She lowered her head.

Her silvery-white hair slid forward over her shoulders, covering half her face.

“I’ve been found out.”

She plopped down onto the ground.

She sighed.

Then she crouched down.

She extended a hand.

“Get up.”

Olivia looked up. Zijiang’s hand was held out in front of her.

“The ground is cold.”

The bathroom door was closed.

The sound of water came through the crack, and steam seeped out from under the door, darkening a patch of carpet.

Olivia sat on the edge of the bed.

Her legs dangled, her heels lightly tapping the side of the bed.

Her silvery-white hair draped over her shoulders, the ends spread across the bedsheet.

She still wore the same shirt.

The collar had slipped down off her shoulder.

The door opened a crack.

Steam poured out with the scent of body wash—

“Zijiang.”

Olivia’s voice was muffled.

“Are you done washing?”

“Oh.”

A hand reached through the crack, waving in the air.

Water droplets still clung to it.

“I’m done.”

The door pushed open.

Zijiang walked out of the bathroom.

“I adjusted the temperature control module for you.”

She draped a towel over her shoulder.

Her damp pink hair clung to the collar of her bathrobe.

“Come wash, little Olivia.”

“Okay.”

Olivia jumped off the bed and walked straight to the bathroom door.

“Hey, hey, hey.”

“Aren’t you going to take off your clothes?”

“I’ll just wash like this.”

“That won’t do.”

Zijiang lowered her hand from the doorframe and planted it on her hip.

The sleeve of her bathrobe slid down, revealing part of her wrist.

“If your clothes get wet, you’ll catch a cold.”

“I’m a dragon.”

Olivia looked up, her silver eyes meeting Zijiang’s.

“How could I possibly be afraid of that?”

“Fine.”

She reached out and patted Olivia on the head.

“Little dragon girl.”

The bathroom door closed.

In the end, Olivia’s resistance failed.

Zijiang forcefully stripped her clothes off and placed her in the bathtub.

Hot water rose over her ankles, over her calves, over her knees.

She slowly sat down.

The hot water reached her waist, her chest, her collarbone.

Her silvery-white hair floated on the water’s surface, like a patch of moonlight dissolving in the water.

She rested the back of her head against the edge of the bathtub.

The tub was ceramic, warmed by the hot water.

Steam rose from the water’s surface.

She closed her eyes.

The hot water soaked her skin, and her muscles gradually relaxed.

She had been holding a camera all day, and the soreness in her arms slowly melted away in the hot water.

She rested her arms on the edge of the tub, her fingers dangling over the side.

Water droplets clung to her fingertips.

Then she opened her eyes.

She looked down.

Floating in the hot water.

Below that, the hot water was clear.

She looked away.

She stole another glance.

Then looked away again.

The bathroom light was embedded in the ceiling.

The light shone on the water’s surface, refracting into a shallow pattern of ripples.

Her silvery-white hair swayed gently on the water.

She sank her chin into the water.

Her lips touched the surface, and the bubbles from her breath rose with a gurgle.

“Little Olivia.”

The bathroom door opened a crack.

Zijiang’s head poked through.

Her pink hair hung down, the ends nearly touching the ground.

Her light purple pupils glinted in the warm yellow light of the bathroom.

Her gaze moved down from Olivia’s face a little, then stopped somewhere.

“You really do have a nice figure.”

“Don’t.”

Olivia sank deeper into the water.

Her chin was completely submerged, and she blew a stream of bubbles underwater.

“Stop talking.”

Her voice was muffled and indistinct from the water.

Zijiang pulled her head back.

“Hey.”

Zijiang’s voice came through the crack.

“By the way, what’s your relationship with the captain?”

Olivia lifted her face from the water.

Her chin dripped.

“She’s my friend.”

There was a brief silence.

“Friends, huh.”

Zijiang’s voice lowered a bit.

“I guess that makes sense.”

The light in the crack flickered.

Zijiang was probably leaning against the doorframe.

“That captain of ours. Usually laid-back and lazy, cares more about gaming than anything. But once she decides someone is important to her, she’d give her life for them.”

A drop of water fell from the faucet, hitting the surface and creating a tiny ripple.

“How long have you been in the Red Sun Corps?”

“Not long.”

Olivia lowered her arms from her chest.

The hot water reached her collarbone.

Her silvery-white hair spread out on the water’s surface.

“But Purnia has been really good to me.”

“I can tell.”

There was a hint of a smile in Zijiang’s voice.

“The way she looks at you is different from how she looks at others.”

The light in the crack flickered again.

Zijiang had probably straightened up from the doorframe.

“Tonight, you’ll sleep in my room.”

Olivia turned her head to look at the crack.

“Huh?”

“Cancel your room tomorrow.”

“Why?”

“We’re both girls.”

Zijiang’s voice was matter-of-fact.

“Why not share a room? No need to pay for an extra one. Besides, my room is a twin room.”

The light in the crack was blocked for a moment.

Zijiang was probably brushing her hair aside.

“The bed is big.”

Olivia stared at the crack for a while.

The hot water was at her collarbone.

Her silvery-white hair floated on the water.

“Okay.”

The sound of water continued for a while.

Then it stopped.

Zijiang leaned against the headboard.

She had changed from her bathrobe into pink pajamas, her hair half-dried and draped over her shoulders.

Her phone was held in front of her, her thumb swiping across the screen.

Probably scrolling through today’s live stream comments.

She swiped for a while, then put the phone down and glanced toward the bathroom.

“Little Olivia?”

No response.

“Little Olivia.”

Still no response.

She got off the bed and walked to the bathroom door.

The door was unlocked.

She pushed it open.

The steam in the bathroom hadn’t dissipated yet.

The fog on the mirror had thinned a bit, revealing a blurry silvery-white reflection.

The bathtub was still full, the water still.

Only the occasional drip from the faucet disturbed the surface with a ripple.

Olivia was leaning against the edge of the tub, her head tilted.

Her eyes were closed.

She was asleep.

She reached in and pulled out the drain plug.

After the water drained, she wrapped Olivia in a towel.

Silvery-white hair peeked out from the edges of the towel, wet against her back.

Zijiang picked her up.

‘Lighter than expected.’

Zijiang placed her on the bed.

The twin room’s bed was indeed big.

White sheets, two pillows.

She laid Olivia on the side near the window and pulled the blanket up to her chin.

Her silvery-white hair spread out on the pillow.
