The idea of turning a dragon-slaying story into a fairy tale twist is fun. How did you come up with that concept?
This novel of “The Dragon-Slaying Genius Betrayed by His Teammates Became a Silver Dragon Princess” is clearly a good example for bad written.
The plot is full of plot holes, the characters are inconsistent, the power levels are also inconsistent… and the writing style is one sentence that is disjointed.
Some things you might not like:
(1) FMC is idiot and naive. She was warned not to deal with the evil god because she is very weak but she ignored the warning and ended up asking for help and almost died stupidly.
(2) She is very weak, but strangely in the beginning of the chapter, she is described as being able to kill the dragon queen’s elite guard. But throughout the 100 chapters, she is described as very weak even in her dragon form. She almost lost against her traitorous partner (who in the beginning of the chapter was described as just a cowardly captain who ran away from war) until it required a Deus Ex Machina in the form of a magical power (from angelic bloodline) that suddenly appeared.
(3) FMC also lacks clear motivation and goals. She’s very reactive. She chose to live as a beggar in a capitalist country rather than live as a princess in a dragon palace. I really don’t understand why the author characterized FMC this way… the author herself implicitly admits that FMC has no motivation and goals, as shown by FMC’s confession when asked about the female knight.
(4) And what I hate the most… she is disobedient to her dragon mother and is ungrateful. She has no reason to hate dragons (dragons here are attacked, not active attackers) at least the author never gave any background regarding that hatred. But strangely, she irrationally continues to hate her dragon mother just so she can explore the world. The dragon mother herself is described as a loving, patient mother who never scolds her daughter. Having such a good mother, FMC actually refuses to acknowledge the dragon mother as her mother.
The only good thing about this novel is that FMC is portrayed as very cute… that’s what made me stick around for 100 chapters.
I was hoping this story would explore the relationship between the dragon mother and the dragon daughter. But the author doesn’t to realize it and only gives the background of the parenting in a short flashback.
Lastly, you better turn off your brain while reading this story if you don’t want to be frustrated like me.
