Chapter 30: Phyllis, Woken Up by Hunger…

“Gurgle~”

Phyllis was woken up by the sensation of hunger.

‘Hmm? Soft?’

She opened her eyes and saw Carola’s calm red eyes.

To Phyllis’s slight embarrassment, she realized she was currently lying on top of Carola in a strange position.

The feeling just now was the peculiar sensation caused by the intimate contact of certain sensitive areas.

Even though she was wearing clothes, Phyllis could still clearly feel the curves and temperature of Carola’s body beneath her.

The Puppet Servant left immediately after placing the food on the table.

Phyllis noticed that the scratches Adrian had left on the Puppet Servant had actually disappeared.

‘Did Carola repair the Puppet Servant while I was sleeping?’

Phyllis’s mind filled with the image of Carola using repair materials to fix the Puppet Servant.

That scene was truly a bit strange.

“Gurgle~”

Phyllis’s stomach growled again.

‘I should eat first!’

Phyllis rolled over and got off Carola.

“Huh?”

Phyllis looked down at her body.

She was currently wearing a pair of blue pajamas in a style she had never seen before.

‘Who changed my clothes?’

Phyllis turned her head to look at Carola and found the other woman resting her head on her hand, watching her.

To Phyllis’s further surprise, Carola’s long white hair cascaded over her shoulders like a waterfall.

The white silk nightgown she wore, which matched her hair, was loosely tied.

The collar was slightly open, revealing her slender and beautiful collarbones.

‘Whatever, it’s not the first time! One day…’

Phyllis turned her attention back to the food. It was still her favorite fish dish.

“Mmm~ Mew~”

Driven by hunger, Phyllis quickly finished the fish.

“Are you done eating?”

Carola’s voice rang out behind Phyllis.

“Yes! I’m finished, meow!”

Phyllis put down her knife and fork and wiped her mouth with a napkin.

Now that her stomach was full, her spirits were much better.

“Phyllis…”

Carola’s voice sounded again.

“What’s wrong, meow?”

Phyllis sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Carola.

“Adrian…”

Carola uttered the name, her fingertips unconsciously tugging at the drawstring of Phyllis’s pajamas.

“He touched you, snatched you away, and even thought of laying a finger on you…”

She looked up, her crimson eyes clearly reflecting Phyllis’s slightly nervous face.

“The more I think about it, the more unhappy I am, Phyllis.”

“But… but he’s already dead, meow! You killed him!”

Phyllis hurriedly expressed her loyalty to Carola.

“And I didn’t like him at all! He was old, ugly, and smelly! He couldn’t even compare to one of Master’s fingers!”

These words were half sincere and half born from a desire to survive.

“Yes, he is dead now. Although I feel it wasn’t enough… well, since you’ve finished eating, come with me to the basement.”

Carola got out of bed, straightened her pajamas, and pushed open the bedroom door.

Phyllis hurriedly followed behind her.

The Basement was currently sealed by a massive Magic Formula.

Phyllis looked around from behind Carola, but no so-called prisoner outbreaks had occurred.

Aside from Adrian, none of the other Blood Tribe prisoners had escaped.

Carola tapped her finger, and the Magic Formula opened a gap.

After the two of them entered, the gap in the Magic Formula closed automatically.

“What are we here to check, meow?”

Phyllis’s voice sounded somewhat ethereal in the underground tunnel.

“To see how Adrian escaped, and to check if any other Blood Tribe prisoners have gotten out,” Carola replied.

Before realizing Phyllis was missing, Carola had simply locked this place down before going to find her.

After returning, she had bathed and fed Phyllis…

She only had time to come here and investigate now.

Of course, this was also because the matter was not particularly urgent.

While talking, the two of them arrived at the Basement.

It was no different from when Phyllis had visited last time.

The only difference was that the cell which had once held Adrian was now destroyed.

“Adrian broke the seal from the inside.”

“The inside? How is that possible…” Phyllis exclaimed.

“Yes… how is that possible?”

Carola strolled into the cell to look for clues.

Phyllis hadn’t dared to go in at first.

For some reason, her mind kept flashing to various conspiracies she had read in novels in her past life…

For example, Carola would be locked inside the moment she entered, and all the Blood Tribe prisoners would have their doors opened…

‘Wait, wouldn’t I be in even more danger then?’

Phyllis suddenly realized that if Carola were locked up, she would only be trapped for a while at most.

But wouldn’t Phyllis herself be devoured by the numerous Blood Tribe prisoners whose doors were opened?

She probably wouldn’t even be able to find a single whole piece of herself left…

‘That’s terrifying, meow!’

At that thought, Phyllis hurriedly followed Carola into the cell.

Even if she were to be locked inside, at least she would be locked in with Carola!
