“Who’s showing off their love…”
Noah rolled her eyes at Xin, awkwardly moved away from Naya’s side, and went to a corner to study the Tarot deck alone.
Naya frowned and looked at Xin with displeasure.
“Miss Xin… my relationship with the madam finally progressed a little. Don’t you think it’s rude to jump in and disrupt things at such an inopportune moment?”
“See, see? Getting anxious again.”
Xin shook her finger as she retorted.
“Leader Naya, you need to understand that your madam has lost her memory. In a sense, she’s already a different person. You don’t think she’s familiar with you, do you? From my observation, your madam is an introverted person. You’ve been acting as her husband, but have you considered her feelings? Even dating takes time to get used to, let alone having a husband forced on her.”
Xin’s words gave Naya something to think about.
He pondered for a while, then nodded slightly.
“You’re right, Miss Xin. I was too impatient…”
“Glad you get it.” Xin spread her hands.
“I stepped in to save you from awkwardness. And see, you didn’t appreciate my kindness.” Naya then solemnly apologized and made amends to Xin, putting the matter to rest.
Naya directed the members who had already changed into uniforms to scout ahead, while he followed behind with the invisible group.
Along the way, they encountered many New Truth Organization members recording data.
Xin led the Shagai Squad to assassinate them one by one and stripped off all their uniforms.
As more and more people were disguised, Naya’s pressure decreased.
Nevertheless, the Power of the Script had its limits.
After dealing with another squad of New Truth members, Naya’s script finally went on strike.
Naya leaned against the wall, supporting himself with his cane, his eyes half-closed weakly.
His face was pale; it seemed he wouldn’t recover for at least half a day.
Xin glanced at Naya resting against the wall and joked,
“Great Leader, you should nourish your kidneys, huh.”
“What does that have to do with kidneys…”
Naya sighed weakly.
“Alright, stop being silly. I need to rest for a while. If you have time to make fun of me, you might as well figure out what to do next.”
Xin propped her chin with her finger, quietly thinking about how to proceed.
Noah walked over to the side, gently picked up a New Truth Organization uniform.
Uniforms were just white coats with hoods.
Noah glanced at the tattered camouflage uniform she was wearing and asked the group,
“Should we change into these? There’s no other way.” Xin replied with some distress , “Well… we could, but what about my ears and tail? My ears are too big to fit in the hood.” The final solution was to press the ears down and tie them to Xin’s head with her long hair.
Although Xin wasn’t happy about it, there was no other choice for now.
Xin picked up a uniform from the ground, shook it, and then pulled Noah toward the next room.
Xin turned back and said to the group,
“Alright, it’s time for the girls to change. No peeking.” As the door closed, the male members tacitly moved farther away.
Xin opened the door again, poked her head out, and threatened everyone,
“If you dare peek, I’ll gouge your eyes out. Got it!”
In fact, no one dared to peek, since Noah was the Vice Leader of the Primordial Organization and Naya’s wife.
For a member to peek would be suicide.
Xin first closed the door, then took off her black robe.
This robe was originally the hospital gown from when she was modified, already tattered.
As she was undressing, she suddenly felt a gaze on her.
Xin turned around and found Noah staring at her chest.
Xin looked down at her chest bound with straps and asked Noah with amusement,
“What’s up, beauty? What’s there to see? Don’t you have them too?”
“Uh…”
Caught red-handed, Noah felt embarrassed.
She quickly turned her face away and muttered,
“Uh, yeah… I guess I do… hahaha…”
“Weird…”
Xin shook her head, then loosened the straps and re-tied them.
Just as she put the uniform on, she noticed Noah looking again.
Xin cupped her chest and looked at Noah with confusion.
“Beauty, you seem very interested in my chest?”
“No… no… don’t misunderstand…”
Noah turned away again and coughed awkwardly.
As she unbuttoned her own uniform, she asked Xin,
“So why do you bind them? Doesn’t it feel suffocating?”
“Because they’re too big and inconvenient for movement.” Xin replied matter-of-factly.
“There’s no underwear in this damn place, so this is the only way.”
‘Too… too big…’
Noah looked down at her chest, as flat as a plain, and thought dejectedly,
‘When will I have such worries…’
The camouflage uniform Noah was wearing was the one Aurora had found for her back then, and it wasn’t proper clothing—it was stripped from a dead body.
Noah took off the torn uniform and changed into the New Truth Organization uniform.
The white robe with the hood gave her a bit of a mage look at first glance.
Noah and Xin finished changing and walked out of the room.
They found that the other members had also changed into uniforms.
Naya had even abandoned his cane and top hat for the disguise, just to blend in better.
To avoid raising suspicion, everyone removed all identifying accessories.
Even Suo’en took off his mask and tied it to his waist with a strap.
Xin looked at Suo’en’s real face and said in surprise,
“So this is what you look like? Not what I imagined.” Suo’en’s face looked quite young, roughly around twenty years old.
He had black eyes and short brown hair, looking somewhat haggard, but a murderous aura emanated from his brows.
Xin couldn’t help whistling at Suo’en and teasing,
“You know, if this kid Suo’en were out there, he’d be a total lady-killer. Not bad, huh.”
“What are you saying… Miss Xin, please don’t make fun of me…” Suo’en even felt a bit embarrassed.
He put his hood on and moved aside, staying silent.
Naya glanced at the disguised group and nodded.
“Alright, everyone, no more jokes. Ahead is the incinerator’s control room. Be extremely careful. When I interrogated Da Le, I got information: about a hundred people are guarding the incinerator area. We only managed to assassinate some of them. There are still about fifty people in other areas.
Now we can’t turn invisible, so we have to rely on this disguise to fool the remaining guards as much as possible. Moreover, there should be a manager stationed at the control room, likely not easy to deceive. Everyone, act according to the situation and be cautious.
Also, our team is too large. New Truth never has a team of fifty people… So, let us higher combatants take a few members to scout ahead. If the control room has no issues, the remaining members will pass through the control room in batches.
Remember, don’t keep the interval too short, or it will raise suspicion in the New Truth Organization. If necessary, take a detour from other areas to reach the control room. Understood?”
“Yes, understood!”
After instructing everyone, Naya led the team straight toward the control room.
The situation there was different from what Naya expected.
He thought the control room would be crowded, but actually there were only a few scattered people operating the equipment.
Naya frowned, feeling that the infiltration was harder than he imagined.
If the control room was bustling, it would be easy to blend in.
But with so few people, it was hard not to attract attention.
In the center of the control room was a huge screen.
Standing in front of it was a burly man.
He had been staring at the data on the screen, but when he heard footsteps, he turned around.
He looked at the group with suspicion and asked,
“Which squad are you from? Give the password.”
